Years ago, family loyalty caused Fain Hauk to give up everything he loved: his military career. His planet. His fiancée. Even his name. Now, decades later, everything has changed. He's built a new life out of the ashes of his old, and he's vowed never to let anything threaten his loved ones again. But when old enemies align themselves with new ones, he's caught in the middle of a brutal war. And when fate throws his former fiancée back into his world and she has her own agenda that includes taking his head for what he did to her years ago, more than just his life is at stake.
The fate of the Ichidian universe and that of his brothers-in-arms hangs in the balance. Winner take all. It's killed or be killed, and never has the battle been more fierce.... Or more fun in Born of Betrayal, the next League: Nemesis Rising audiobook from number-one New York Times best-selling author Sherrilyn Kenyon!

Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm an addict.
I love Sherrilyn Kenyon's writing she gets better and better with each book. Between this series and the Dark Hunter series I am happy to keep buying her books. I was glad to see the Fain and Galene finally found there happily ever after and now I'm anxious to listen to Julian's and Ryn's stories. I was happy to see all the characters from past books in this book, it makes me want to read them all over again.
I too had the chapter before the epilogue missing on the audio. Since I have had this happen before. I went ahead and downloaded the enhanced version and I was able to listen to the completed story that way. Narrator does an awesome job I always enjoy listening to Fred Berman.
Long live the League!
We finally get a chance to hear Nykirian say it's not about him, but about Nemisis Rising. That scene was so cool. Also there were massive amounts of characters in this book, but done In a way that is not overwhelming if you are league fan. If this is your first league book, the amount of people may be a bit much because the ingrained "feels" won't be there. I absolutely adore the Hauk and Winged Batur family. And after you listen/read this book, you will know why the next book has to be Ushara's book. The League does not shirk their duties even when it seems an impossible reason and task.
Fred is SUPERB at reading Ms. Kenyon's books. I deeply appreciate that he uses different inflections for the various characters. I couldn't stop listening!
Audio Book Lover
A must listen in the League Series. Another great book in the League Series, the story is good as a stand alone book or better if one has read or listen to the other books in the series.
Until this point, Fain has been a background character. He's mostly just "Dancer's brother." It was nice to see him pulled into the lime light. There has been some question about book order between this one and Talyn's -- I agree that this book has to follow, not precede.
Great listen, but must listen to all League audio books to understand. Big war next.
