Billy the Kid's Wife is a time-travel romance short by best-selling novelist R. Barri Flowers. When a modern-day historical romance writer rents a cabin in Sky Creek, Colorado, to complete her next novel, a strange dog shows up, along with a handsome man and young boy. She soon comes to realize that the man is the onetime outlaw known as Billy the Kid, and that the corridors of time have merged, offering her two very different lives. She has an important decision to make in following her destiny.

It makes me happy to wake up everyday and look forward to listening. Many times I listen while doing artwork. I find it very relaxing.
BILLY THE KID'S WIFE was a nice cozy time travel romance short story. Trina has rented a cabin in Sky Creek, Colorado to write when she begins hearing a dog barking and whining. When she looks, there's nothing there. Finally she sees a collie and meets it's owner. A man named Will who introduces himself and his son Chris. And Sonny, the dog.
A woman named Lucille Bonner owns the cabin and Trina had heard it had once belonged to the famed outlaw Billy the Kid but wasn't sure she believed it until...the unexpected happens.
Worth the listen, I'd recommend this book plus it has a bonus excerpt of FOREVER SWEETHEARTS which sounds very good. The story is about Taylor Holland who receives a knock on the door one day from someone asking her to reunite with her former college sweetheart on a reality TV show. R. Barri Davis is a the author of several books and this is another one I'd like to listen to.
Susan Soriano does a superb job narrating this audiobook. She has a smooth, natural flowing voice and does a perfect job. I'm happy to have found both a new author and voice actor to watch. Very nice.
Audiobook received in exchange for an honest review.
