Narrated with steamy titillation by Simone Lewis, Berr’s Vow is a hot, sexy, and sometimes silly, story about a smart-talking woman, Shanna, who is abducted by terribly scary aliens and is forced to live as a captive sex slave on the planet Zorn, and interact with Zorn’s scumbag leader, Hyvin Berrr.
Thankfully, Simone is rescued by a brave Zorn warrior with the heart of a lion, and who also, again thankfully, happens to be a massively sexy hunk of epic proportions.
You may want to listen to this one in the privacy of your own bedroom….
Kidnapped from Earth and transported to planet Zorn to be sold as a sex slave, Shanna is one angry, frightened woman ready to fight anyone who tries to touch her. Raised in foster care, she’s not going to take any crap off some alien men no matter how big, terrifying or muscular they are. Before she can be sold, she’s freed by a huge, sexy Zorn warrior... a warrior with the most beautiful blue eyes she’s ever seen. Shanna demands he take her under his protection when she realizes she’s stuck on Zorn.
Hyvin Berrr, the leader of Zorn, thinks humans are helpless and weak. Shanna decides to teach the big hunk he’s wrong by knocking him on his backside. He might think she’s playing but she’s trying to teach him a lesson. She’s not sure if she wants to fight her feelings for the sexy alien, though if a woman has to lose a battle, this just might be the one time to concede.

I have read several of Laurann's books. I like the New Species the best. I thought Simone did a very good job in this audio.
This had some potential but I find Shana's character a little annoying. I am all for a strong female character but sometimes in these Zorn stories, that is all that defines the woman lead character. There is very little mixture of both hard and soft. It is like in these stories, Laurann has a difficult time balancing the two. I sometimes did not understand why Berr cared so much for Shana. Except for being a human woman, I did not find anything in her character that would attract him to her. She was always mouthy, cursing, and always had an attitude. So, while i am for being a strong woman, there has to be more to the character than that. I sometimes found myself skipping ahead because Shana would start complaining yet again about the same things. I think Laurann did a great job with the third story in this series. I felt the female lead was much more balanced.
The love scenes between Berr and Shana were nice.
I would like it if Laurann could reduce the foul language. I wrote this before but I am not sure it is necessary to use such language just to make the characters tough. I really like her work overall and because I listen to many of her books, I do get to hear the curse words often. After a while, it starts to grate on the nerves.
This was a good way to end the series. I have listened to this book and series many time, and have enjoyed it each time. The narrator is very good at her job.
This was an awesome edition to the series. I loved Berr and how he was with his Shanna it was so sweet. Of course the narrator did amazing job as always and I hope there's more to come!
