I ADORE Lexi Maynard's performance in ALL of the Wicked Series...she gives each character their own 'voice' and the narration is gripping.

I love this series however, this was not my favorite....the first 3 are my top ones.
Adult Themes for mature audiences, strong language and sexual content.

Good...but...DROVE ME NUTS

Okay so this is a good story over all and maybe I was just in the mood for something else but I found myself distracted throughout. I know this is the fifth in the series and I enjoyed getting to know Logan and meeting Tara, seeing into their troubled pasts. The twists and turns in the end were great, but honestly, I can't believe I'm actually saying this but there was a bit too much sex and BDSM which usually isn't an issue for me.

That said, however, being that it is the fifth in the series of seven you can't skip it, though honestly I did fast forward through some of the sex. I also enjoyed the cameos by previous characters in this, I love a series that keeps me updated on the lives of the ones that came before. There wasn't much of that in this one but there was a little and we got to meet Xander as well, he is an interesting character!

Narration was great, I have no complaints there!

Great Series

I've enjoyed all the books in this series but so far this one is may favorite The first one really roped me in next two kept me interested enough but this one I really enjoyed. I liked this because though the story line was far fetched it kept moving and the sex was great I did not find it as dark as many of the BDSM books. Couldn't put this one down Hope the rest of the series is as well done as this one.

Holy BDSM hotness

I've been looking for a book for awhile that really exposes the BDSM part of a D/S relationship. This book really did it for me. Only complaint is that I could have really gone for one more scene at the end to pull everything together. Otherwise I really enjoyed it.

Narrator Blues

The narrator at times sounded whiny and it didn't sound like there was areal adult reading. Made me at times want to stop listening. The Narrator makes the book.

Definitely a darker story

I struggled with this story a bit, but as I listened I realized with a twelve year gap, Tara’s trust issues were a challenge for her to overcome. I will say I guessed fairly early who killed Logan’s mother. I took awhile to figure out the bigger dark secret until the undercover job was underway. I figured that part out pretty quickly too. Still, it was a good continuation of the series.

Which character – as performed by Lexi Maynard – was your favorite?

I loved Logan. I did not think I would like him this much, based upon Past book descriptions. However, Shayla created a bad ass Navy Seal with a sweet, loving heart.

Any additional comments?

This was one of my favorite books in the series. Impossible to stop listening to! Not believable, but hot, erotic, and strong characters. Always a good love story in the end!

Another great book.

I need more Zander. Good book as usual. I hope they continue to write about Logan and Tara at the club.

My absolute favorite of the series

Logan and Tara were my first experience with Shayla Black’s books. I could listen to their story over and over again.
Logan is the Dom that I’d want to belong to. He’s so sexy and so caring. Tara has enough spine to stand up to him but she’s also pretty fearless outside of the dungeon.
10 stars out of 10!!!
