Rebecca, caught by the Shifter Bureau in a forbidden area, is charged to help Walker Danielson, on military attachment to the bureau, to find a woman suspected of being abducted by Shifters. Rebecca has no choice but to agree.
Walker and Rebecca met when Walker was abducted and ended up tied up on Rebecca's floor. Now the tables are turned, and Rebecca has to go along with whatever Walker proposes. As they find themselves in danger with wilder Shifters not under the Austin Shiftertown's control, Rebecca discovers what kind of strengths Walker has. The mating frenzy Walker touched when he had been Rebecca's captive now flares to life as the two fight to find the missing woman and survive the mission.

Loving my life and hanging out with my four grandchildren!
I will always listen, buy, and read most anything Jennifer Ashley writes, and Cris Dukehart is one of the best narrators around.
This story, in my opinion, was just too short. I would have loved to have more information concerning the rouge shifters at the end. It just seemed that when the story got exciting, it was over! Yes I know, that's so you are set up for the next book, but it left me feeling loss.
My favorite scene was hearing that the guardian shifter had been trying to help his wolves to live free, and that he had saved the young cubs.
We only got a small glimpse at the love, (sex), between our two main characters, that's what we look for in these books. I felt like they never really got to connect with each other. Their story was over just when it seemed to began.
I will be waiting to hear what happens next! Overall it was a good story line, so I gave it three stars. Just too short, so three stars. Cris always does well, so five stars.
Jennifer is an awesome author and Chris brings the characters to life in all of my favorite books! I love all of Jennifer's shifter books, but the bear stories are my favorites! I hope soon Shane and Brody will find love in Jennifer's incredible stories, and all the shifters will be free to live and love for many more exciting books in the future!
I love losing myself in books of any kind
Another good book by Jennifer Ashley she's one of my favorite authors.
I love this shifter series. The concept of collaring shifters is actually pretty believable. Actually along the same lines as concentration camps. I'm really interested to see where this series is going to go I'm wondering if we are ever going to see the ship the community free without callers or if were going to see a or uprising of the shifter the community.
I like a strong heroin and that's with this but provided a very strong here when and a man whom wasn't afraid of a woman who may be stronger than him physically but still had feminine appeal.
