Couldn’t stop listening

Started once before after reading 50 shades of grey and gray as pretty invested into that storyline and those characters and it was hard for me to get into another series that was similar in context. But after some times passed I decided to give this series another shot and I could stop listening to it. Typically my audiobooks are reserved for my commute to work but with this book I wanted to listen to it while doing all of my house work, getting ready for work, yard work and any other time I could squeeze in a few chapters. The story is just that compelling and interesting with just the right amount of romance and dirt that kept me interested and intrigued without making it feel redundant and just too much raunch. Very good listen, I’m definitely going to be getting the next book in the series

Bared to You for sure!!

I loved hearing this book as well as reading. Hearing it feels like your watching the as a movie not. listening to it makes the characters so more real. This story is so much the title. The characters really bare it on every layer there is each other. The characters are so much that you get so caught up in the story. I love the book and whole series!! Sylvia Day rocked this series!!

Too much sex

The book was not bad it was okay. It just was sex after sex after sex.

Amazing seductive read

Listened to this after watching fifty shades of gray and it was amazing. Definitely better than fifty shades. Wish they would have had a voice for the males characters but overall delightful.

Great read

It is my fourth time reading this book, and still loving it. Great for commuting.

So so

I wanted to love it, but the relationship was just so frustratingly toxic that it was hard to look past. Cross is a total crazy person, which was angering to hear. I was waiting for her to leave him the whole time.

Good Overall

Ava and Cross have sex, then they fight, then they make up. This repeated cycle is basically the story. The sex is really hot, though.

Don’t Waste Your Time

Finishing this book was a long hard task. The story is comprised of flat, boring characters with no emotional depth, repetitive sex scenes with no passion (seriously…I wanted to skip them) and fast story telling pacing which is usually a good thing but in this case it sacrifices any real relationship building between the main characters.

The narration is fine until an attempt is made with the male voices. They all sound alike and it’s nearly impossible to enjoy the “sexy” male lead character with such a flat in masculine tone.

Sylvia Day is an accomplished writer and I’ve enjoyed her stories before but this 50 Shades knockoff is just lacking in any real emotional passion.

TOUCHING & EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER OF PASSION

Firstly, I cannot compare this awesome listen to FSOG as I haven't yet listened to the raved over book but all I can do is review this one.

This book totally consumed me as it unfolded to tell the heart renching story of two previously sexually abused people slowly learning to trust in each other, letting go of their pasts and eventually love again. I fell in love with Gideon not because he was handsome, filthy rich, successful at everything he did but because he was sooo vulnerable, caring and thoughtful when it came to Eva. He thought his life was just fine and wanted for nothing....... until he met her eyes - then sparks flew and they very quickly turned into embers which ignited into burning hot flames of passion filled pages.

Good plot, great primary and secondary characters and lots of 'hot and heavy' all go into the mix to create a well written and well narrated exceptional listen.

Worth a credit? DEFINATELY, TOTALLY and ABSOLUTELY YES.

STOP!! This IS what you are looking for!

If you are a Fifty Shades fan then you found your next fix. In fact, you have found a better fix. One that Fifty could not provide! Why? Well, I am always happy for someone in the Minor Leagues to step up and hit a home run out of the park, but nothing is as beautiful as watching the pro's do it.

Even if your not a Fifty's fan you may prefer that you never read Fifty and just found these books instead... how do I know? I don't know you, so I don't know. :)

At first I was tired of the roller coaster of emotions from the main character Ava that I was going to strangle her myself. But as I settled into the book I soon realized where the author was taking me and it was a delicious ride for sure.

Jill Redfield narrating is AMAZING! Really do I need to say more if she is AMAZING?
Perfection, nailed it, touchdown, home run, SCORE!! She made this book a thrill to listen too and at times had me really blushing.

This was my first experience with Sylvia Day's books and I am a fan. I can't wait for the final book of this series but I am also going to check out her other books and pray they are as thrilling as this.
