Publisher's summary

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Sylvia Day comes the first novel in the Crossfire series - a provocative masterstroke of abandon and obsession that redefined the meaning of desire, and became a global phenomenon.

Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness...

He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily...

Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds...and desires.

The bonds of his love transformed me, even as I prayed that the torment of our pasts didn’t tear us apart...

AWESOME

A 50 shades fan, I was dubious about listening to a story that had been compared to it. If you feel the same way, don't be. This book is awesome. Narration is SUPERB! Loved it and moving on to the next in the series.

Not impressed

What did you like best about Bared to You? What did you like least?

Not a good story line and did not go into any details. The only reason why I got this book was because I was having Fifty Shades of Grey withdrawals, but was not impressed. Some people said that it was better but it is not.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Maybe change the person who read it, sounded like an older woman was reading about a 21 year old girl. Also, the ending sucked.

Would you be willing to try another one of Jill Redfield’s performances?

Yes I would try another book from this author.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No.

Any additional comments?

I did not like it, specially the ending that is not an ending. Is the author writing book 2?

Great Story

Fantastic story and the narration is AWESOME!! Eva and Gideon sizzle together. I cannot get enough of this series.

Really good

I really enjoyed this story. Definitely worth a credit, and I’m pleased it’s part of the Romance Package. Ms. Day’s characterization wasn’t quite strong enough to enable me to identify with and feel the characters’ emotions, but still, it was very good.

I think this is the first time I’ve ever listened to Jill Redfield’s narration, but I was impressed with her work. Her male voices were very good, she has excellent range. Her pacing was amazingly good, with pauses exactly where they needed to be, but otherwise keeping her speaking speed at just the right pace. The emotion she inserted into the characters’ voices was kind of awesome, particularly during the love scenes. Very stirring. Since this book had no accents I couldn’t say how good she is at them.

What made the experience of listening to Bared to You the most enjoyable?

The reader got into each character which was great! It was nice being able to do other things while listening to the book.

One of my go-to books

Any additional comments?

I bought this after reading FSOG and found this to be a much better fit for me. I'm not a BDSM kind of person (and I'm told that FSOG doesn't accurately depict that lifestyle). I really enjoyed Jill Redfield's narration; far superior to the narrator of the FSOG series.

But enough with the comparisons. There's an undeniable chemistry between Gideon and Eva, and both have demons to overcome. They have money to help resolve issues, but they are serious issues nonetheless. I have no real clue if this is how the 1% live, but it's a good fantasy.

There's a strong supporting cast of characters to make the book more interesting. The story kept me engrossed and still does on rereading it.

Decent story.. Lots of repetition

Get ready to hear the words "my cleft" or "my sex" a lot. I wish they had a male reader for the male parts a woman's imitation of a male voice is kinda distracting.

Just ok

This book was so much better then 50 shades which is what I was expecting because some of the reviews equated it to that. Even though I was happy that it was not 50 shades, but it still fell below my expecations. The story caught my attention in the beginning, it didn't keep my attention. I felt like it was the same thing happening over and over again through out the book. As for the ending I think it fell flat. There wasn't a cliff hanger that made me "HAVE" to listen to the next book, which I am undecide on whether I will listen to or not.

Good book

What did you like best about Bared to You? What did you like least?

I talked that I could listen to book and work. What I did not like is the female reading the famle and male parts. I would haved enjoyed it there a male had read the male parts.

What other book might you compare Bared to You to and why?

50 Shadys of Grey. Rich man meets young girl and fall really fast.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Jill Redfield?

Again, I had a male read the male parts.

Did Bared to You inspire you to do anything?

No
