Publisher's summary

Nothing incites Marcus more than the primal hunger roused by his former fiancée, Elizabeth. It’s been years since she jilted him for another man, but that only means there’s a lot to catch up on, a lot to make up for, and that he’s going to enjoy every sweet moment.… The same drive and passion that sent her into another man’s arms is what brings Elizabeth back to Marcus. Her attraction to him is the one thing she fears, but she’s run out of options. Resisting is impossible. But does she have the courage to surrender everything?

Accent

Very hard to understand this book with total book being read in thick British accent. Disappointed .

Not Great!

The story lacked depth. Also, I found myself re-listening to parts because I thought I had missed details when in fact they were never there to begin with.

narrator kills it...dead

Any additional comments?

I am a listening addict, I have purchased 30 books so far this year and it's march. I love Sylvia Day's books and recommend them all the time. I read the reviews prior to my purchase and noticed that most of them say "can't get past the narrator." I have listened to and liked other narrations done by Justine, but this one just started grating on my nerves prior to the half way point. there is just something about her high class british attempt that makes me tune her out. The story played on for a few more chapters and then i realized that i had no idea what was going on. i plan on getting a refund.

Courldn't Get Through It

I couldn't listen to this book. I found it boring, didn't like the narration, and found it dragged. I see where others have said it picks up a little, but I couldn't wait for it. Audible and I have been attached for several years and this is only the second book I couldn't get through.

Disappointing!

Ahhh...where to begin. I had never read a novel by Sylvia Day until I came upon the crossfire series. It was then that I fell in love with a new author. Since the 5th book in this series has yet to be released, I thought I'd try another Sylvia Day novel. I really struggled to finish this book. It didn't actually get interesting until chapter 26 and there were only 33 chapters! The narrator was wonderful, but it was a dreadfully boring story. Please don't waste your time or money. I am thankful this wasn't the first novel I read by Sylvia Day because it would have been my last.

I couldn’t bare more than 2 minutes listening.

I love Sylvia Day books but this narrator made it impossible to listen to the book. The voices she made for characters were so distracting. What a waste of money because I cannot listen to this book.

Not bad for what it is

What did you love best about Ask for It?

It's an entertaining listen with a fairly engaging story line. Definitely a guilty pleasure.

Any additional comments?

It's a romance novel and an entertaining one at that. If you're looking for sophisticated story telling, look elsewhere. If you like the genre, it's worth a listen.

I just can't...

I'm sorry, I didn't make it 3 min in and HAD to make the awful noise STOP! The narrator has a terrible accent that is forced and over exaggerated! I have no idea what the story line is, and hate to say this comment has nothing to do with the content, only the horrific sound!

Worst Ever

The story is nonexistent, the narrator is awful and that makes it overall bad. Don't waster your time much less your credit or money

I have no idea what is happening

I have 4 hours left and I still don’t really understand the plot. I 100% blame it on the narrator. Sorry.
She doesn’t do a convincing job when portraying a man. Also, the accent makes all the men sound douchy.
I love Sylvia Day’s books. I think I’ll have to read this series. I can’t get past the voice acting in this one.
