Nothing incites Marcus more than the primal hunger roused by his former fiancée, Elizabeth. It’s been years since she jilted him for another man, but that only means there’s a lot to catch up on, a lot to make up for, and that he’s going to enjoy every sweet moment.… The same drive and passion that sent her into another man’s arms is what brings Elizabeth back to Marcus. Her attraction to him is the one thing she fears, but she’s run out of options. Resisting is impossible. But does she have the courage to surrender everything?

"Bared to You obliterates the competition…unique and unforgettable." (Joyfully Reviewed)
"The undisputed mistress of tender, erotic romance." (Teresa Medeiros)
"Plenty of sizzling passion and dangerous drama." (Booklist)
I found the characters unsympathetic, the story-line/mystery a thin and underdeveloped, and the sex had just too much dominance for comfort. Sylvia Day is not for me.
A better narrator.
The story line sounded great but I could not get past the narrator's horrible performance.
She can not do male voices at all and her accents are hard to understand. I could not follow the story.
The story was not bad but I could not get past the narrator's performance.
It would be great if you could pick the narrator so the ones you know you do not like, do not ruin a good book.
I have a very fast paced life. Audio books are an awesome alternative for me. Long road trips, working out and housework arn't a bore.
Maybe I am in a weird place or something, but this book failed to grab me. Oh well...NEXT!
I actually loved this book! It's my first Sylvia Day -- I wanted to avoid the whole "50 Shades" cliche and similar writers. But this was actually really good! I'm a huge fan of Justine Eyre, and think that she was magnificent as always. For listeners who don't typically purchase historical fiction based in England and who are used to more modern US-based characters, I could see how her voice would be a distraction. But I've listened to many titles that she's narrated, and she's one of the best out there. I chose this book because Justine was narrating. The performance and story did not disappoint!
Wife, mother of an amazing little boy, and an avid reader. Well, now I am an avid "listener" with Audible - so thankful for this app!
Ahhh...where to begin. I had never read a novel by Sylvia Day until I came upon the crossfire series. It was then that I fell in love with a new author. Since the 5th book in this series has yet to be released, I thought I'd try another Sylvia Day novel. I really struggled to finish this book. It didn't actually get interesting until chapter 26 and there were only 33 chapters! The narrator was wonderful, but it was a dreadfully boring story. Please don't waste your time or money. I am thankful this wasn't the first novel I read by Sylvia Day because it would have been my last.
I was really not impressed with the book..maybe it was the narrator? I didn't like her accent and it was a little weird..I bought the whole series but never made it passed the first book...
I was surprised that this was a story written and set in the 17-18th century or so. I was not sure I could enjoy the type of verbiage that this period would encore, but after hanging in there, I was surprisingly drawn to keep listening. Later-I could not stop listening. Scenes of lovemaking were potent but not vulgar. Well written! Awesome story !
