Publisher's summary

Anna never knew werewolves existed until the night she survived a violent attack…and became one herself. After three years at the bottom of the pack, she’d learned to keep her head down and never, ever trust dominant males. But Anna is that rarest kind of werewolf: an Omega. And one of the most powerful werewolves in the country will recognize her value as a pack member—and as his mate.

The First Story is finally available - JOY!

This novella is the start of the alpha and Omega stories. They are about a young woman recently turned werewolf and much older werewolf who becomes her husband. Here is the back story to Anna and Charles. Sort of a love story but really well written fantasy as well. Definitely recommend getting it to read first if you are going to read the rest of the series. It fills in the stories.

Great Introduction

I have both read and listened to this book several times, the narrator has a good voice for the story and it is both a great addition to the MercyVerse as well as a great start to a new thread.

Good but overpriced short story

Good story that’s ridiculously overpriced in audio. Save your moolah and either get the ebook or borrow from your public library, if available.
This short is the story of when Charles Cornick, son of the Marrok, first met his mate Anna Latham. It feeds straight into Cry Wolf, their first full length story. It fits right into the Mercy Thompson timeline right after Moon Called.
I was not happy with Graham as narrator for Anna, but he grew on me for Charles.

Briggs weaves worlds of wonder only 15° off of reality

The world of Patricia Briggs is just one step through the veil of magic away from our own reality, and our world seems poorer for it after time spent there; the voice of Holter Graham, however, is a disappointing and periodically distracting conveyance. That said, the story of Charles and Anna, the Alpha and Omega, is far too rich to eschew when an audiobook is the only medium available.

fun story!

I've read the novella-- but this narration was Outstanding!!!!

I loved how this narrator created the voices - of the maroc and of Charles.

I won't carry on about the plot- this is a truly fun story. I will definitely look at what more this narrator does!

* some violence
*no graphic sex but inference to assault

Multiple comfort listen!

I love this story. It took me awhile to bite the bullet and buy this way too short story, but I've decided it was worth it. I've listened to it several times and, even though I know what it is going to happen, I still love it. I love the whole series! I still think that novellas should be cheaper.

Great addition to the story

I read this story the first time back in 2009. I realized that "Alpha and Omega: A Novella from On the Prowl" was a new adventure for the story of "Alpha and Omega." Listening to the new novella tempted me to start this series all over again. Sooooo, I am now doing the happy dance because this series makes me happy.
The H and H are strong and good. The adventures are amazing, the action scenes are exciting and the entire story is compelling! PB pulls you into a wonderful world. I am not reviewing the actually book as much as just expressing how pleasing it is to start this series over again. Well I guess it is kind of a review if you realize that I spent money to purchase the books and I am now willing to purchase the audible versions of those same books.
So I am posting this to all of the books in the series, because I will be listening to them for this Christmas season! :)
Yes. This series is worth all of your credits LOL
