The first time it happened, it seemed like an impossible miracle. Bills were piling up, adding up to more money than I could ever make. Mom's hospital bills. My baby brother's tuition. My tuition. Rent. Electricity. All of it on my shoulders. And I had just lost my job. There was no hope, no money in my account, no work to be found. And then, just when I thought all hope was lost, I found an envelope in the mail. No return address. My name on the front, my address. Inside was a check, made out to me, in the amount of 10 thousand dollars. Enough to pay the bills and leave me some left over to live on until I found a job. Enough to let me focus on classes. There was no name on the check, just "VRI Inc.", and a post office box address for somewhere in the city. No hint of identity or reason for the check or anything. The next month, I received another check, again from VRI Incorporated. It too contained a single word: "belong."

A third check, the next month. This time, two words. Four letters. "To me."

The checks kept coming. The notes stopped. Ten thousand dollars, every month. A girl gets used to that, real quick. It let me pay the bills without going into debt. Let me keep my baby brother in school and Mom's hospice care paid for. How do you turn down what seems like free money, when you're desperate? You don't. I didn't.

And then, after a year, there was a knock on my door. A sleek black limousine sat on the curb in front of my house. A driver stood in front of me, and he spoke six words: "It's time to pay your debt."

What made the experience of listening to Alpha the most enjoyable?

Easy listen, fantastic narrator, she captured both genders impeccable

What was one of the most memorable moments of Alpha?

Not just one memorable moment, it was the build-up of the story, although not very "real life" realistic, if you are looking for a heart thumping ride get ready, it's a roller-coaster!!

Have you listened to any of Summer Roberts and Tyler Donne ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was the first, but not the last, I am so ready for the next book

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The primal Alpha named Roth aka Valentine, oh did I say PRIMAL ANIMAL!

Don't hesitate, if you need to be swept away and lost in a "oh god oh god moment" for 11 hours and 49 minutes, DO IT. Its well worth your credit spent.

Great story. I loved the characters. Enjoyed the steamy scenes. Good storyline. Great job Jasinda!

What would you do?

Alpha is a love story filled with mystery, lust, confusion, and tragic pasts. I read the ebook when it first came out and have now listened to the audiobook and fell even more in love with the story! I cannot wait to continue the series on audio!

The narration was great! I am new to Summer Roberts and cannot wait to listen to more by her! Tyler Donne is also new to me an I quickly fell in love with the accent that he used!

Yet another 'me too' 50 SoG; Billionaire falls madly in love with poor girl trying to eek out a living, whisks her off in his stretched limo / hellecopter / private jet / yacht, showers her with gifts yah-di-yah-di-yah...Similar irritating use of words (he has a 'massive towering (you know what)' but she has a 'core'... among other things).He tells her his big secret, she rushes out, then they get back together and they all live happily ever after. No whips, paddles or handcuffs in this one, but enough of 'the other' to satisfy any chicken flick addict.

A little disappointing

The book description really caught my interest and I did complete the book,but It just didn't deliver. I was forcing myself to finish at the end. That statement alone sums up my review since listening to books one of my favorite pastimes.

Yes! I couldn't stop listening... its one of those books which has you from beginning to end and wanting more.

What did you like best about this story?

Jasinda never disappoints...Its a different story and might not suit all but for me quite addictive ;)

What about Summer Roberts and Tyler Donne ’s performance did you like?

I have listened to Summer before she is a great narrator and as usual did an awesome job with all the characters. I have purchased books because she is the narrator so this was a bonus. This is my first listen to Tyler and there will be more.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes!!! I wish that was the case. I will re-listen to ALPHA definitely.

Holy hot wheels, this book is hooooottttt!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

When I recommended this book to an audio friend, I told her it was one of the hottest books I've listened to. She dove right in and we both agree this is a 5 star story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Alpha?

The most memorable moment i liked was the opera scene. It was hot, nasty and raw. Very daring.

What about Summer Roberts and Tyler Donne ’s performance did you like?

The narrators were great. I've never heard of Summer or Tyler but will def look for more books to listen to narrated by them.

This book is def worth a credit. It's steamy hot, with a great story!!!!

Cute storyline (a little unrealistic but who cares). I marathon listened. Got me squirming in my chair.

the whole story was GREAT! female narrator did a great job I don't understand why they used a male narrator for the last chapter which is only like 5 minutes.. will definitely listen again
