Publisher's summary

For 400 years he was lost to her, but he is hers tonight...

From their first tantalizing touch, Jasmine knows he is different. What other lover could unlock her tight control, flood Vampire senses jaded by a lifetime of decadent self-indulgence? Centuries ago, when he disappeared without a trace, she had given up hope of ever fulfilling the promise of incomparable passion. But here he is, against the very laws of nature, ready to bring down their most vicious enemy, ready to bring her blood to the boiling point...if she will only let him.

Spend some more time with the Nightwalkers - if you dare.

Jacquelyn Frank never disappoints!

I love the Nightwalkers Series and this final book did not disappoint. I would suggest starting the series at book1 instead of picking this one up as a stand alone listen. I read this book in print when it was first released and decided to give it a try on Audible. Xe Sands is a fantastic narrator and I really enjoyed her performance.
If you enjoy a good paranormal romance book then this series is for you. Definitely credit worthy and then some.

No one does it better than the Frank/Sands duo....

Yet another great read from Ms. Frank, she never ceases to amaze me. Of course Xe is also one of my all time favorites with her incredible range of narration. Bravo to both, I could not comprehend a world 🌎 without either one of you. A million thank you'd for sharing such incredible talent with the rest of us!

Almost distractingly depressing beginning.

Seriously, this is not where I thought I'd be at this point in the series. Everything was going so well.

Beware that the beginning of this book may make you hesitant to keep reading. It does go somewhat implausible (more implausible, considering it's a paranormal romance?) in premise.

That said though, the story between the two main characters is good. I did like that they'd met each other so long in the past and that their chemistry lights right back up as if they hadn't been apart for 200 years.

I've really enjoyed this series, but do think that it needs to be wrapped up soon. Jacquelyn Frank has kind of written herself into a corner by the end of this book.

Emotional roller coaster!

Be warned, in the first few chapters this book will rip your heart out and make you question if you want to finish listing...but keep listing! Without giving too much away, I'm so glad that Jasmine found her equal in Adam and both were able to get over prejudices that they've lived with for so long. There was also some great satisfaction in seeing a certain daemon getting a big piece of karma, but there were a still lot of unanswered questions. It didn't feel like a final book at all, it ended much like the others did in that there was some resolution to relationships but still more unknown in what the future holds. We still haven no idea about the Nightwalker children of these intermingles species....even Leah (yes, we know she can control time) and Seth's (Space, what does that even mean???) capabilities will be and what the prophecy really was were not addressed. It feels like there needs to be one more book to tie everything together. Overall, it was a good series and I enjoyed the authors take on Daemons, Vampires and the like.

OMG I Am So Impressed

So, as with others, I could almost not manage the first few chapters. I truly thought that a series I enjoyed so much was lost to sadness. Yes, I cried. It took everything I had to force my continued listening. I am so glad I did. What a story!! My only heartbreak now is that the series is ended. Narration is stellar. What a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life. Tip? Read the books in order. You will come to love, and yes even sometimes hate, the richness of characters. You will be transported to the times and places of dreams.

Incomplete Storyline

The beginning of the story was so sad, I stopped reading. I was so disappointed in the direction that it took. I picked up the book again and it turned out a little better than expected although Adam's story seemed incomplete. Jacquelyn Frank rectified what happened in the beginning, thank goodness. I was glad that some of the other characters appeared in this book but I felt that the story ended very abruptly. Hopefully, she will write another book to address the issues hanging in this book.

Great story!

This one is a must listen to, it ties up some loose ends. Its mostly well done except the narrators voice for most of the characters is so similar as to make it hard to take. Wish they had used 2 narrators rather than one for these books

can't get past narrator

I found the narrator's voice, accents and pronunciation to be very annoying.
It was really distracting so it's hard to tell whether or not the book was good.

I was expecting more

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I enjoyed the others so much and I just felt this one fell a little short. Things came together but I feel more details were needed. Also is this the ending to the series?? I felt it wasn't clear enough in that aspect.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would of made it a longer more detailed story.

Any additional comments?

If you have listened to the other books in this series, then you'll have to hear this one. In my opinion it's the worst book in the series, but it does answer some questions. I just don't like that it leaves me wanting more and not in a good way.
