Nicole Warren is a professional writer. Or at least that's what she tells Grandma. Far from writing the hard-hitting journalist pieces she always dreamed of, she's cooped up writing reviews for a music magazine. She sees her dream within reach when the editor of her magazine asks her to write an in-depth piece about The Solid Oaks, country music's newest rising stars. If she does this, he'll give her the opportunity to write more serious journalism. Before she knows what's going on, she's on a plane to the deep mountain forests of Appalachia! Before long she's got to make a choice between the career she always wanted and the man she never asked for!
Michael Dixon is the lead singer for The Solid Oaks. He and his brothers are all bear shifters, walking the fine line between keeping that secret and being the hottest country band in the South. He feels overwhelmed by the nonstop fame and attention, and when he discovers a cute and curvy reporter is now embedded with the band, he is having none of it! But wow...she's something else. Fierce, inquisitive, and honest. How long can he pretend to ignore her? Will the family secret set them free or tear them apart?
Warning: This novella contains explicit sex scenes and naughty language. For mature audiences only. Also included are bonus stories as my thanks to you.

This book was given for an unbiased review by the author. This is another shifter quick listen. The story is well written. The narrator irritated me several times. Nicole and Micheal's HEA is the end result. Nicole is assigned to write a story about an up and coming country western band and during her week with them, she discovers they are shifters. There are several plot twist and the sex is almost at the end. Thanks again. I like my story to be complete before the sex gets mixed in. This one is like that. Although short the whole story is there. Love this series.
