Publisher's summary

From USA Today best-selling author Jane Anthony comes a seductive second-chance stand-alone rock-star romance.

Ainsley Daniels wasn't the first girl to crawl out of my bed; she's just the first one I was dying to drag back in.

As lead singer of the most notorious rock band in the world, people kiss the ground I walk on. I could have anyone I want. Any time. Any place.

But I want her. And I'm going to have her.

It's been more than a year since I first laid eyes on her; one long year this storm has been brewing. A twist of fate finally hands me the chance I've been waiting for. I'm about to remind Ainsley just who Kade Black is, and this time...I won't let her walk away.

Rockstar romance!

This was an okay read, fairly slow-paced, but provided a bit of almost-entertainment while I worked.

Rockstars.
On the road.
Attempted SA.
Single mom.
Second chance at love.
Cheating (not the mains - FMC was cheated on).

Could’ve used a smidge of help as I caught a continuity issue.
(A while after Kade tells FMC he loves her, he confesses/ realizes “I think I’m falling in love with her.”)

Overall: 3 stars.

Rockstar Romance

The bigger they are the harder they fall and this saying makes up all that is Kade. Well written, beautifully narrated a romance that will have you on a roller coaster of a ride with our main characters Kade and Ainsley. We first meet Ainsley broken by a marriage gone wrong and the dream of a HEA dashed. She has the opportunity to meet rockstar hunk and crush Kade with bank Black Diamond only - the chemistry is not one sided and the alpha that is Kade comes out in full force. There were times in this read that I just wanted to pull my hair out wishing for a HEA - Ainsley's back and forth drove me mad and my heart broke for Kade. There was great dual point of view thru this so I really appreciated that as well as the dual narration which also really helped to bring these strong characters to life. Some of the "flashbacks" and time skips were a little difficult to follow with the audio version but didn't take long to figure it all out. Loved the suburban wife and rockstar vibe and really, the whole book was a delight from start to finish! Loved it!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review.

Incredible second chance rockstar romance!!!

Ainsley is trying to get over a broken marriage from a cheating husband, when she gets the chance to meet her rockstar crush Kade from Black Diamond. Kade feels an instant connection with her from the first moment they meet but she try’s to push him. But with her work for the band she couldn’t denied what she was feeling. Their story is not all smooth sailing but it definitely worth taking the journey with them as they find their perfect ending.

Well Ainsley can be annoying at time both characters are wonderful. And the author does an remarkable with the storyline. Plus the narrators Lee Daniels & Gregory Salinas does amazing job bringing the characters to life.

Loved Shay

Kade and Ainsley. One rock star. One divorced single mom. One has arrogance and a bad temper. The other is full of distrust and self-doubt. Together their flaws don't matter. The world is full of possibilities and happiness but it's fleeting. The real world repeatedly invades, showing that their lives just don't work together. However, Kade isn't used to being told no when he wants something. And he wants Ainsley.

I wanted to love this story. I love the bad boy/rock star with the normal girl trope. Ainsley being a single mom starting all over resonated with me. However, Ainsley ultimately was not lovable as a character. I understand her trust issues on a personal level. But she kept pushing him away, expecting him to prove himself over and over, and never admitting her own mistakes or making any attempts to reach out to him. How is it reasonable to push someone away in the harshest manner and then blame them for being gone? Just once, I wanted her to be the one to make a gesture. Instead, Kade was the only one working to make them a couple. He deserved more. My only issue with him was the appearances with the porn star. So, they were friends. Why if you are in love with one woman do you need another on your arm? Unnecessary. There were already plenty of barriers put in place by Ainsley. She didn't need another. It had potential but Ainsley's character spoiled most of it. This did put the book in a rare category since it's usually the rocker who needs character redemption. I did love Shay and I loved her scenes with both Ainsley and Kade. Her scenes were the best.

Lee Daniels and Gregory Salinas were excellent. This was the first time I have listened to Lee. She was good and voicing the female characters making them individuals, Shay and Ainsley especially. This was one of my favorite performances of Gregory. He captured the many facets of Kade, his sexiness, temper, and vulnerability. He definitely elevated the story.

2nd chance romance

Im a sucker for a rock star romance, but this kind of missed the target for me. I think this was the first time in a long time I wished the H would walk away and find a new love. Overall, it was good I just didnt like the MCs together.

Second Chance Rockstar Romance

Kade by Jane Anthony is a second chance rockstar romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Lee Daniels and Gregory Salinas.

This is the first book of Jane's that I have read, and it won't be my last. The relationship between Ainsley and Kade is messy, but you can't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views.

Lee and Gregory did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like rockstar romances, second chance romances, or contemporary romances.

Good story, great characters but MFC is annoying!

"Kade" is a good rockstar romance but at the end of the day there was nothing to really stick out about it or give it pop...in essence "Kade" is forgettable. The narrators were great overall; Gregory Salinas has an amazing voice and his interpretation of Kade is spot-on. Lee Daniels was no slouch either - but I tend to gravitate more to the seductive purr of male narrators ;).
If there is anything that I care to especially comment on it is my thoughts about Ainsley. I honestly do not think she deserved the blatant devotion from Kade. She kept finding reasons to push him away - the first one or two times are understandable, she has a daughter she is trying to raise - but when it became clear that her ex husband was doing things to keep Kade away just to be spiteful I kept wondering where Ainsley's backbone went. Kade kept chasing her and chasing her and saying he'll "never give up" but by the end I almost kept wishing he would.
3 stars overall - this is not a more than once read.

Oh my heart

This one is going to take me a few days to recover my heart. Kade was a scrumptious arrogant alpha rock star who falls head over heels for Ainsley. Ainsley is a woman from a broken relationship trying to find her footing again and falls into him. There were times I wanted to reach through and slap sense into Ainsley though. This book took me through the full roller coaster and longing for more. So excited for a new author in my radar.

The narrators were amazing and I could listen to Gregory Salinas voice non stop.

giving up

This audiobook is about a rockstar named Kade and a girl named Ainsley. From their first encounter until their last it has been kaotic and explosive. Ainsley never gives Kade a break. By the end of the book and the things she made him go through I would already have up, he's got a heart of gold. But don't get it wrong, Kade has his faults too. Love the narration and storyline.

Ainsley and Kade love story was sad and beautiful all at the same time. I loved how he never gave up on getting the woman he loved to see how they belong together.
