With two months left to find a husband and fulfill her grandmother’s ultimatum, Celia sets her sights on three eligible bachelors. Becoming betrothed to one of these wealthy, high-ranking men will surely prove her capable of getting married, so hopefully the wedding itself won’t be necessary for Celia to receive her inheritance. Step Two of her audacious plan is hiring the dark and dangerously compelling Bow Street runner Jackson Pinter to investigate the three men she’s chosen.
With Lady Celia bedeviling Jackson’s days and nights, the last thing he wants is to help her find a husband. And when she recalls shadowed memories that lead his investigation into her parents’ mysterious deaths in a new direction, putting her in danger, Jackson realizes the only man he wants Celia to marry is himself!
Spend some more time with the Hellions of Halstead Hall.

Yes, It was a good ending for the series. Was unhappy with the way the killers were handled. After the First 4 books it was a let down on how the killers were introduced into the story.
The trip to visit the Nurse and the shooting match.
When Pinter finally got how stupid he was by only seeing things though his eyes.
Audio-fiction ADDICT !
This book is my favorite of the series. I don't know if it's the story itself or the narration that did it. But this book is witty, romantic, and suspensful. I love the narrator, she is really good ! The best narrator of the whole series. I loved the hero! A perfect end to a wonderful series :)
this story was so amazing i couldn't stop listening. first book i've listen to straight through with very little pausing
The audio version brings the characters to life
She is wonderful
Yes very much so, as with all of Sabrina's Books
The story can be lacking but if the narrator is good they can salvage it. Fortunately, this one had the best of both worlds; a captivating storyline and a talented narrator. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Don't know if I want to risk the other titles with different narrators though, but this one is worth it.
Another Narrator for starters
No. I like Sabrina Jeffries novels, but I really anticipated this book because of Celia and Mr. Pinter. Justine Eyre ruins it for me...I'm still mutter through.
A new narrator Justine Eyres voices for the characters are HORRIBLE!!! Between grandma, and Mr. Pinter. Why not use the first narrator for this entire series. Like with Jacqueline Franks Vampire series she used the same Narrator Xe Sands (Brilliant narrator my favorite since Anna Fields).
The cabin seen. Between Celia and Mr. Pinter. So dumb
message to any writer. Don't use Justine Eyres for anything. Especially not romantic stories!!!!!!!!
I have loved reading/listening to this series of books. I enjoyed getting to know each of the characters in each of their books. This isn't a series that you NEED to read in order but you should or you should save this book for last. I will not give away any details but once you read/listen to these books you will understand.
Great way to end a series! Truly entertaining! The family finally gets their peace! We get a wild ride!
I wish there is another book still to come somehow in this series. Great job
Never judge a book by its movie
Top 10, Number 1 in the
The most memorable will give away the ending.
However I enjoyed the scene when Jackson needs to speak to Celia, he arrives at Halstead late at night, meets with Oliver,(Celia's big brother- Lord Stoneville) under the guise of needing to pick up his belongings he left at the mansion. Oliver gives him a short cut, which happens to pass Celia's bedroom...
Surrender the Past, Inherit a Future
I bought this book the day it was released, well worth the credit. However start with book one, you wont be disappointed with any of them.
