Avid reader time permitting. Love audio books as I can multitask, love being inserted into the time & place of story thru narrators accents.

    "A sweet time travel romance!"

In any time travel book, you have to start in one time, in this case the present, in order to travel to another time, frequently the past. I liked how the author laid the groundwork to set up the reason for falling through time which I found to be very entertaining. The fact that there were no explicit sex scenes kept the story moving quickly and realistically. I didn't miss the lack of sex scenes in the story, as the implied romantic interest/chemistry, between the main characters was written so well. I also bought the audio version of this book, narrated by Kristina Blackstone. I loved her "southern, North Carolina accent for Lucy, but would have preferred a bit more distinction between the male voices. She is a talented narrator, so that is just personal preference. I have enjoyed books 1&2 so am looking forward to reading book 3 as soon as possible. I would easily recommend this story to friends that enjoy sweet, time travel romances. Four stars for story, performance, and interest.

"Better narrator would make this 5 shiny stars!"

The narrator is not good, stilted and oddly paced and flat in places. At the same time I did listen to the whole book and bought book 2 without even looking at the narrators name.... so I guess she rates as tolerable.

The book is good. Subject matter is treated well. There is no sex, odd for a book with medieval knights, but it works.

I got both the kindle version and the audible, which was much reduced with it, five or six dollars I think. It was worth it.

"a bottle of ale, in 1300?"

The book had no historical reality. The heroine handed her love "a bottle of ale" really? the narrative was worse than the story.

"The worst story I have ever listened to ."

This book is really poorly written and the performance is awful. I have never heard a southern accent that was so bad. The main character in this book sounded like an idiot. I'm sorry this whole thing was just bad.
If Cynthia Luhrs was trying for an Outlander copy, she missed it by a mile.
