ARIZE #2: REVELATION

In the midst of a zombie outbreak, Dr. Meg Perriman and a group of survivors head for the BioGenix research lab to work on a cure.

But the journey won’t be easy. The government has fallen under the spell of the enigmatic Rev. Cameron Ingram, who sees the outbreak as a sign of the Biblical apocalypse. Storms, earthquakes, and devastating plagues appear to support the preacher’s doomsday message. Worse, the dead are rising from their graves, and Meg isn’t sure science can explain these sinister mysteries.

As Ingram forces the world to submit to his authority, Meg and the others must fend off a growing army of the living dead. And killing them once is not enough.

Still hooked...

Probably be ready w/ this one when you start book 1—it picks up exactly where book 1 ends, and you’ll want it.

The action is non-stop in this one, though there’s a hint of romance and a hefty dose of heartache mixed in, along with some new characters to grow attached to. We see things evolve into being even more political in this one as well, book 3 should be very interesting.

I love this take on a zombie apocalypse with a particularly twisted religious aspect—feels very plausible to me.

4 stars.

Audio:
The production itself is smooth, free of hiccups, high-quality.
The narrator isn’t great, but he isn’t bad per se. He just opted to more read like a robot, sounding, at times, like AI, rather than performing the book. 5-star production, 3-star narration.
