Scott Cunningham's classic introduction to Wicca is about how to live life magically, spiritually, and wholly attuned with nature. It is a book of sense and common sense, not only about magick but also about religion and one of the most critical issues of today: how to achieve the much-needed and wholesome relationship with our Earth. Cunningham presents Wicca as it is today: a gentle, Earth-oriented religion dedicated to the Goddess and God. Wicca also includes Cunningham's own Book of Shadows.

The name is Katie. Account says Kevin, but I'm the one actually listening and writing reviews.
This is a great little listen if you're busy and want to study Wicca while multitasking. However, my honest opinion? Go and buy the book. Scott Cunningham is wonderful. He's one of my favorite Wiccan writers. He has a lot to teach and having a book in hand to look things up in and study with is the way to go.
This book would be great for those who starting out. It breaks allot of things down to make them easier to understand. Although if you would like to learn symbols you should purchase a hard copy of the book as well for reference. Even if you are not a sole practitioner, if you need a deeper understanding and explanation to some aspects of wicca then this is the book for you!
This was a good intro to Wicca if you are interested in learning more about the religion. In my line of work, I have encountered Wiccans and did not know anything about it; I decided to educate myself on this and started with this book. It was very straightforward and gave a good overview. I like the reasons for the Wiccan rituals and how they correspond to Nature and the change in seasons. I was interested to learn that my birthday is the day Wiccans celebrate when the powers of nature are at their highest. Also, Oct 31 is a time of reflection; my partner was born on that day and he is a very reflective person by nature.

This is a very good book which includes a book of shadows, the accompanying reference guide is helpful because it gives you the symbolic information so you don't get that lost on the listening of this great audiobook.
If you are just beginning your way into Wicca, this is very helpful and it is great that Audible has this! You will love this book so much you will sure get the hard copy of it. :)
It was good to hear everything I've read. And to hear how natural it all is. No real mystery involved. Just do what you will, harming none.
This is a wonderful place to start for anyone interested in Wicca and witchcraft. This book, coupled with "Living Wicca" by Scott Cunningham, provides an excellent baseline for which the solitary practitioner can begin their craft. If you're looking for something that will teach you powerful spell or how to level your foes, skip this title. But if what you seek is spiritual balance, give this book a try.
I knew nothing about Wicca. This book was a great overview and I think I came away with a greater understanding.
scott cunningham is a remarcable wrighter who hits all the finer points on wicca and very informational on how to get started in wicca i also recomend wicca for men
Very down to earth logical book. There are still some aspects I'm skeptical of. Very little of the book is the stuff some might refer to as "imaginary". This is a book which definitely simplifies the Wicca craft for easy understanding while learning how to be a witch. I am not wiccan, but I do practice yoga and zen. Most of this book engages the importance of intent and positive energy as well as respect and admiration of our beautiful earth. If I was to recommend a book for witchcraft that wouldn't scare someone off, or had to recommend a book for a skeptic to read on the subject, this book would be it! Very well written!
