Publisher's summary

The Bible predicts that in the last days a charismatic leader will establish a global following in the name of peace. The Qur’an also predicts that a man will rise up to lead the nations, pledging to usher in an era of peace. The man in the Qur’an is called the Mahdi, or Islam’s savior. However, the man in the Bible is the Antichrist. Joel Richardson’s stunning research and analysis suggest that the Mahdi and the Antichrist are actually one and the same.

In The Islamic Antichrist, Richardson exposes Western readers to the traditions of Islam and predicts that the end-times may not be far away. His book will stun readers unaware of the similarities between the Antichrist and the “Islamic Jesus.” His research on the relationship between Christian end-time prophecy and Islamic expectations of world domination will shock readers and shape the debate over radical Islam for years to come. This is the book to read on the world’s fastest-growing religion and the future of the world.

How astonishing the eschatological similarities!

I wish I had found this book years ago. This has been an incredible read and has helped round out much of what I thought I knew. I highly advise anyone serious about their Christian walk to read this book. I advise anyone studying religion to read this book. This is an earth shaking topic and much of it will become more and more relevant as time progresses.

Interesting

Very well written, a lot to think about.
I will listen to this book again in the future.
The narrator took his time, which I appreciated. There is so much in this work to absorb.

very good.. factual and dispassionate

great book. I learned a lot. Paired with the a book called the "Palestinian delusion" (audible) really ramped up my knowledge of what's what in the mid east and the current Israel/Palestinian conflict.

Powerfully presented message of the Last Days beast

Joel Richardson does an excellent job connecting biblical prophecies with places, events, and Islamic teachings in our world in a consistent and coherent manner. He does justice to eschatological and theological matters while presenting a compassionate yet urgent message.
Richard Powers does a great job of presenting the material well with only a handful of minor issues. At a couple of points he is mildly bland, and sometimes his pronunciations are shaky. That being said, he handled the names and material rather masterfully!

Surprisingly Good

The theory that the Antichrist will emerge from Islam is one that I had heard before from one of John Macarthur's sermons but this book really went into detail regarding Richardson's, and many other theologians', theories. It is well narrated (and I'm picky about narrators) and worth a listen.

Incredibly Accurate Insight/Revelation For Today

Always amazed by the revelatory teachings that Joel Richardson has been given to share, and I believe that he does so in a masterfully thorough way. What is most respectable is the way that he approaches these insights from multiple points of view, not one-sided propoganda. He presents the information simply and accurately, without an alterior motive to sway the heart of the reader. He leaves the decision up to his audience. Bravo yet again sir, BRAVO!

Not entirely free of polemic bias, but overall professional and intriguing perspective

The author states early on that he does not intend to write a polemic or a criticism of Islam as such, and, due to the nature of the topic, could likely only ever have hoped for partial success in this regard.

With that said, he overall provides an overall well researched work analyzing biblical and Islamic teachings on the apocalypse and offering a scholarly assessment of possible connection between them. In this regard I found this book to be refreshingly thorough and a fascinating read.

The later sections veer off topic slightly, discussing responses to the events in question among other similar topics. Those interested in Christian and Islamic religious studies are likely to encounter little new material here. These sections are also colored with more of the authors personal religious principles than with textual and historic information.

Performed well with no major errors and overall an interesting and very worthwhile read for anyone fascinated with comparative religious studies, eschatology, and history.
