Publisher's summary

In the tradition of the best-selling book The One Minute Manager, authors Ken Blanchard and S. Truett Cathy, entrepreneur and founder of Chic-fil-A restaurants, present The Generosity Factor - a parable that demonstrates the virtues of generosity.

It's the story of a meeting between the broker - a young man on his way up the corporate ladder who has the illusion of success, yet deep inside feels insignificant - and the executive - the CEO of a very large and successful company who claims the greatest joy in his life is his ability to give to others.

Thinking he might get a competitive edge by meeting with the executive, the broker's worldview is turned upside down as he talks to the executive and hears the principles that form his life. He calls it The Generosity Factor - a way to give time, talent, treasure, and touch to those in need. Providing a unique twist on what it means to thrive in business, at home, and in life, this story will forever change your definition of success.

Como complacer a Dios

Me sorprendio cuando empece a entender la historia basada en principios de Dios. Como el mismo narrador lo menciona, es complicado creer que existen personas que en realidad lo aplican en su vida. Hay mucho que reflexionar.

This is a great depiction of Truett

I have heard a lot about Truett and his legacy. His compassion and servant leadership are the biggest conversation topics that come up when his name is brought into conversation, as it should be. These are beliefs and values that the company continues to pursue. Not everyone embodies it well, but it is a work in progress and that is important.

Fantastic! A must listen!

Truly an inspiring fable highlighting two perspectives on generosity. The Executive's teaching really embodied what true mentoring is all about. Enjoy it.

Great book

Gets you thinking about what's after success. I've been living with my head down for a while, trying to improve and succeed and this book got me thinking about what's really important in life. Religious or not, i think this book will be refreshing to anyone that loses sight of the goalposts once in a while.

Heart

I enjoyed hearing the stories of all the characters and how their lives played out. I liked how the Broker and Executive met and spent some time together. I feel maybe the Broker could of been more mean in order to show a total transformation at the end. To see a completely changed heart. Nonetheless, the point of the story still got across to the audience at least in my opinion. I would share this book to one of my close friends because we believe in God and the book explains how all is God's amen. I give it all stars because the author had the idea to write a story on generosity and he succeeded.
