Retracing his own spiritual journey from atheism to faith, Lee Strobel, former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune, cross-examines a dozen experts with doctorates from schools like Cambridge, Princeton, and Brandeis, who are recognized authorities in their fields. Strobel challenges them with questions like How reliable is the New Testament? Does evidence exist for Jesus outside the Bible? Is there any reason to believe the resurrection was an actual event?
Strobel's tough, point-blank questions make this remarkable book read like a captivating, fast-paced novel. But it's not fiction. It's a riveting quest for the truth about history's most compelling figure.

I certainly wouldn't want Mr. Lee Strobel investigating my murder. It's like he set out to convince himself...and succeeded.
Man proceeds to interviews the indoctrinated and uses scripture to make his case. Whilst interviewing "experts" they never provide data that "I" can go look, short of the bible.
His sources are hardly objective. Lee for that matter is hardly objective. And of course we end it all with the obligatory "You have to believe to see it"
Mostly just feel bad for his then 5 year old daughter. Who was taught that the power to stop boozing, stabbing his colleagues in the back, and to start loving his family, comes from a magical sky daddy and now within one's self.
the narration is good but a little slow
as far as the story it just feels he's one sided only talking with pepole with degrees in religious text never really putting in a counter argument other then to use as a lead in to the next line from the schoolers, but maybe the unabridged is better
Strobel's voice makes it an easy listen. Additionally, the content of the book is worded in a way that's easily understood. Both history and his personal life attest to the validity of Jesus as being God. I highly recommend for anyone searching for the truth, or a deeper understanding of this foundational truth that you already believe.
Lee Strobel has no idea what the word scrutiny means. He only uses the bible to demonstrate that the bible is correct. If you’re looking for a persuasive argument check out Richard Dawkins. Regardless on who is correct Strobel’s arguments are lame.
