Publisher's summary

Is there life beyond the grave? Is it reasonable to believe in the afterlife? If so, how should we act on those beliefs?

Best-selling author Dinesh D'Souza undertakes an unprecedented voyage of intellectual discovery to reveal the truth about life, death and beyond. Unlike many books about the afterlife, Life After Death makes no appeal to religious faith, divine revelation, or sacred texts. Drawing on some of the most powerful theories and trends in physics, evolutionary biology, science, philosophy, and psychology, D'Souza shows why the atheist critique of immortality is irrational - and draws the striking conclusion that it is reasonable to believe in life after death.

He concludes by showing how life after death can give depth and significance to this life, a path to happiness, and reason for hope.

Dinesh has a gift for simplifying.

I Loved this book. It was simplified to be understood by a regular Joe or even an intellectual tween. Alot of ammo in the defense of common objections to faith in general. I have actually listened through this book twice.

Loved it!

Dinesh is brilliant. I appreciate the historical and scientific (secular) approach. This makes it accessible to anyone. But I really appreciate an appeal to the gospel at the end. Die hard atheists have been warned. You might be challenged.

eye opener

This is a great book I strongly recomend it to anyone who has an intrest in the afterlife, and if you enjoy this book you will also enjoy 'what dreams may come' by Richard Matheson as it hits the same topic and in my opinion they go hand in hand.

Evidence M.I.A....

I came to this audio book with an open mind, but the author offers philosophy and theological reasoning instead of "evidence". Having said that, the first half of the book offers some sound arguments that show up many of the flaws of modern Atheistic Worldviews. There were some interesting anecdotes about near death experiences and reincarnation. Unfortunately, the 2nd half of the book offers a raft of trite philosophical thoughts which the authors posits as evidence for an afterlife. Any possibility of a listener being swayed to the author's point of view is totally undone by a very wishy washy 2nd half.

A Book Based off of Fact over Fiction!

Dinesh always writes great books based off of fact over fiction. In terms of Life After Death, Dinesh warns the reader at the beginning to keep an open mind. When that is said just know that there will be newfound facts that will upset you. After listening to this Audible book. I gained a new perspective on where we go in the afterlife. Unlike other books on death this focuses on all aspects of religion around the world and what they believe in. Dinesh also explains the pros and cons of atheism with the intention to argue a thesis on Christianity's profound impact on creation. This book isn't going to sugar-coat the afterlife like many other books do. He will give you insight into how to look at life while bracing the unknown of where we go when we die. One thing is clear - with having faith or not. Nobody knows where we go when we die.
