Proving that the Old Testament can only be so interesting

I knew what to expect, and I literally use this as a sleep aid. Some of the “stories” are very well done; Others are perfectly awful. The background music and sounds are mostly odd, but are sometimes downright distracting. This particular part of the OT has some really awful performances, with the exact same painful-sounding voice and inflection going on for hours (I wish I could identify the performer) as if he suffered an untreated injury just before the recording started. I often thought, “*Stop*! Please just read the text! Enough with the yelling and the whining and the melodrama”! I’d rather hear a lot of this from lay readers at church, the lovely people who stumble awkwardly over OT names, and may occasionally drone on without inflection. They are much easier to listen to.

I listen to the Bible Experience at night it truly is the best experience I've had with the Bible.

This is not your typical audio bible. As you listen to these they become alive and you feel like you are living in the story!

Yes! I plan to give as a gift to many friends! The Bible Experience has an beautiful production. The actors read the bible beautifully and the sound effects was awesome. Listening to the book enriches the imagination as you hear Jesus walking on the water and asking Peter to 'grab my hand'! You should definitely have The Bible Experience!

The Best Audio Ever!

It would be nice if you all would add the name of the book of the Bible we're listening to. This would be helpful. Chapters too! Over all I enjoy it almost every nite to help me sleep peacefully in his word.
