We were not created to just get by with average, unrewarding or unfulfilling lives. God created us to leave our marks on our generations. Every person has seeds of greatness planted within by the Creator. When life weighs upon us, pushing us down, limiting our thinking, labeling us in negative ways, we have what it takes to overcome and rise above into the fullness of our destinies.
In his dynamic, inspiring and faith-building new audiobook, Break Out: Five Ways To Go Beyond Your Barriers and Live an Extraordinary Life, bestselling author Joel Osteen provides practical steps and encouragement for creating a life without limitations. This audiobook will help listeners break out and break free so they can believe bigger, increase their productivity, improve their relationships and accomplish their dreams. Osteen's uplifting message focuses on moving beyond barriers by:
Filled with faith and inspiration, Break Out challenges listeners to have a new perspective, to let nothing hold them back, and to reject any labels that might limit them. Osteen inspires and encourages with the message that our first break outs must occur within our own minds: "When you break though in your mind, believing you can rise higher and overcome obstacles, then God will unleash the power within that will enable you to go beyond the ordinary into the extraordinary life you were designed to live."

Absolutely! The way Joel gets his message across is so easy to understand and the real life stories you can definitely relate!
I think he does a great job reading the book because it is like you are having a conversation with him instead of someone reading to you.
Many moments! I don't want to spoil it!
I highly recommend this and any of Joel's books and sermons he is very motivating and yet down to earth. I have been away from God for a long time and he is definitely brought me back!
I love the way he makes you feel so loved by God. I love that he speaks of God's love as a kind, and gentle. I love Pastor Joel speaking the book. I will no doubt buy it in hardback form and give it as gifts that way, however, there is nothing better then hearing him speak the book to you.
How positive the book is and how encouraging it will be for all who experience it especially in these hard times.
Yes and then repeat again as necessary.
The best thing to do with this book is share it and live it.
Stop talking so much about yourself. The inspiration is good but after a while the stories about how great and huge his church is, get old. Also starts to sound very materialistic.
None. The message was repetitive. This could have been a half hour to hour sermon and be long enough.
He is a good motivational speaker with a texas accent.
To pray for more than you need.
As a christian the self gratification of the materialist message was a bit disturbing. i do like his inspirational messages on facebook etc but is this book was too much.
If there would've been a "how-to" or had he given (verbally) the scripture reference passage/number. Almost the entire book was simply examples of people who successfully overcame this or that. So much was redundant. If you didn't already feel like a failure (if you weren't healthy, happy and prospering) you will when you're done reading this.
Would probably not buy another Joel Osteen book. This was my first. It felt like he was saying, "If you'll just think positive, you'll have everything you ever dreamed of!"
Every chapter was exactly like the previous chapter.
I believe he has good intentions but this book was unnecessary.
Break Out is a fantastic book. Joel Osteen motivates and provides you with practical day to day examples on how to go beyond your barriers and truly achieve an extraordinary life. I was glad to learn more of Joel's and gods message. It is a great book if your in need of some advice or even some spiritual uplifting.
In one of the final chapters, the message was to "get over it." This part of the book speaks so much into the daily lives of everyone. Sometimes we just need to get over things that are holding us back, things that make us depressed, etc. and it was definitely a call to action. It made me feel that I need to get over a few thing in my life so that I can get where I want to go.
Everything. The story. Joel's accent (lol so sweet). The fabulous message. Praise God!
Buy it. You'll be so glad you did.
Encouraging and motivated me to get back on track with my dreams
Real life examples
From the start and all throughout. I haven't put it down and read it in 1 day.
Like his preaching, Joel Osteen delivers a high-quality, well polished message that uplifts and encourages his readers. I respect him for his commitment to excellence and appreciate his desire to write from the heart, sharing his personal stories and struggles while remaining true to the Word of God. Having enjoyed earlier books, I was concerned that this book wouldn't have a fresh word for me. I was wrong. At the recommendation of a friend who had just finished the book, I ordered it and rapidly listened and was transformed. Joel Osteen understands the importance of shaking off the past, pushing through difficult times and believing in the power of God to transform and use everything in our lives for His glory. I am keeping this one close by for easy access (re-read/listening) again soon.
To be fair, I did not finish this book. I didn't like feeling like I was listening to a sermon. My initial impression was it lacked actual content that could be applied to my life. If faith is all you need to get what you need in life, I would not need this book. Also, much of the content is passages read from the bible. I was hoping for original practical advise. Very disappointed. I will return this book without completing it.
I enjoy "Sherlock Holmes." Classics like "Dracula" and "The Three Muskeeteers,"but predominately Star Wars. Thanks Audible!
Inspirationally, in a league of its own. I found it very moving in his use of anecdotes, as well as inspirational in the stories of ordinary people who have had extraordinary lives.
Joel's mother who with polio and a bad leg still work skirts with pride.
It's as if I'm listening to him at Lakewood and enjoying a private sermon that is not preachy.
I did laugh at times and was moved many times by this book.
I recommend this book to anyone who needs that caring voice of wisdom and faith.
