Nate Handen loves his father. That doesn’t mean he’s happy with much of what he’s done over the years and especially in the last couple of months. But despite all that’s happened he knows better than many that family is like a pot luck dinner. You never knew what you’d get.
Shortly before her death his grandmother made sure he understood her feelings on a lot of things. Including her thoughts about his Dad. And in doing so she’d made him see things when it came to family in a way he hadn’t before. Now he was doing what he could to remember her words and find guidance in her wisdom.
The Andersen Saga is a story of family. It is a story about joy and loss, hope and sorrow, betrayal and regrets, unconditional forgiveness, high expectations, and unwavering loyalty. It reminds that at the heart of who we are is the family we come from, the family who stands behind and beside us and at times against us. And who we become isn’t just a result of those still with us but those too that we’ve lost along the way. It is about the twist and turns every family deals with, the conflicts from within, and the never ending desire for acceptance and respect.
