Great Guide

Excellent for beginners, but more of a guide for interpretation than an interpretation itself. If you aren't prepared to do some thinking and soul-searching, you may not be all that interested in tarot cards after all, so I would consider most of the complaints about this product to be misunderstanding. All in all an excellent guide that can help you learn to interpret what the tarot has to say to YOU.

I am so happy with this book, I love that it has the certain listening of the days and the couple of how to do a reading as well as in depth detail on each of the cards.

Great starter book

great starter book but it only touches on kabbala numerology horoscope reversed meanings. but not everyone wants to be overloaded with all those details so she touches on them so that if that's something you want to incorporate into how you do your listenings you know where to begin.

FANTASTIC Book for Beginners . . .

This is absolutely one of the BEST books I could’ve chosen as a beginner. Easy to listen , easy to hold, organized, and INFORMATIVE - without being repetitive! I gobble up the info and then go back and listen it again when or if I choose to. I appreciate too that Ms. Shawna Blood doesn’t bog you down with rules and/or, “You MUST do this or that” and encourages you to be free and develop your own style. In fact, I Love it so much I bought the companion, Reading the Tarot: The Ultimate Guide to the Rider Waite Tarot Cards".

My favorite deck companion...

What an immensely detailed book. I actually and accidentally bought the deck that it teaches with alongside of it. I love how Shawna Blood breaks down the elements of card-reading. I've used this with two new decks that I've purchased, and I really do think it's helped me develop a better relationship with the cards. My absolute favorite aspect though is the binding. A great companion for anyone looking to delve into tarot.

The title is very accurate!

Not only does this book give you a lot of good information and guidance when using the Rider Waite Tarot deck, it organizes the information in such a way that you can use the general information or you can delve deeper into the meanings of each card. I highly recommend this book for anyone who uses Tarot whether as a neophyte or a long time user.

Best Definition of the Rider

Absolutely amazing compendium on the occult meanings behind the Rider-Waite Tarot, which in my opinion is the best Tarot deck available. Typical books/definitions pale in comparison. Well organized. Information on each card is easy to find.
