Publisher's summary
Jack Sawyer knows many things, like the names of all the state capitals and how to tell an agate from a plain old rock. But there’s much he doesn’t know. He doesn’t know how to shoot sparks by snapping his fingers or ride a galloping horse through the mud and over fences. And he really doesn’t know how to hurl a spear, wield a sword, or track mythical creatures through an enchanted forest.
But that all changes when one day he discovers he can somehow levitate a basketball and send it flying around the school gymnasium. That’s when he feels the Quickening, and with it a whole new world opens up for him. To harness his new abilities, Jack must go to Ranger Academy in a magical place called the Midwald, where he will concoct potions, race horses, and track fierce creatures.
But the Midwald is not without its dangers. Ten peaceful years have passed since the cruel wizard, Arazad, was cast down from the throne and the Commonwealth was established. Now danger lurks throughout the land. It grows in the shadows of castle ruins and forgotten ancient strongholds. Evil forces are gathering strength, and this time they will not be denied!
Can Jack and his friends defeat the powers of darkness and prevent the return of the Tyrant King?
It'll be the adventure of a lifetime - if he survives!
Perfect for fans of Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, and A Wizard of Earthsea!

She’s on the run from a dangerous and secretive organization that will stop at nothing to track her down. And most astonishing of all: she’s a robot, a product of Eden Laboratories. Story
The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

And he's optimal baby daddy material. For me - not Amanda one, two, or three. In II Corinthians 13:5 we are told to examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith. In Lamentations 3:40 we are told to examine our ways and test them, and to return to doing things the Lord's way. In I Corinthians 11:28 we are to examine ourselves before we partake of communion, to see if we are right with God. In Hebrews 12:15 we are to see to it that no one among us falls short of the grace that God has given us. Galatians 6:4 tells each of us to test his own actions. The writer of Psalm 139:23-24 implores the Lord to search his heart and find out if there is any wicked way in him ...
