Twenty episodes from the second BBC Radio series, starring Arthur Lowe, John Le Mesurier and Clive Dunn.
In 1973 the BBC adapted its hit TV series for radio, featuring the original TV cast and characters. Three series were broadcast between 1974 and 1976, with episodes adapted from their TV counterparts by Harold Snoad and Michael Knowles.
Now you can enjoy once again these unique recordings, with a supporting cast including John Laurie, Arnold Ridley and Ian Lavender. Among the twenty-one episodes are Don't Forget the Diver, Put That Light Out, Mum's Army, A. Wilson - Manager, and The Day the Balloon Wendt Up.

"A Masterclass in Comedy"
Without doubt one of the best comedy television programs ever created this audio has succeeded where many have failing in being translated into an audiobook. Full of wit, charm and nostalgia Volume Two has continued the high standards set by the first volume and will keep you laughing hour after hour!
As always brilliant, a true radio classic as it was recorded as a separate entity to the TV show.
Have loved it for nigh on thirty years and counting. Back when people could write comedy.
"A nostalgia visit."
These collections bring back memories of my childhood watching television. In fact I'm able to picture each episode as they perform these radio shows up to the point where they've left out certain scenes because the sight gags don't transfer very well. Excellent performances from the cast.
If u liked dads army on tv then you'll LOVE these audiobooks.
It's like I'm in the room wiv them
"Classic British Sitcom"
I loved DA on TV; I enjoyed it every bit as much listening in audio.
Those were the days of silliness and no political correctness. Have listened to this three times and will do so again!
"brilliant classic comedy"
The classic Dad's Army episodes adapted for the radio series are excellent and a great listen. If you have the complete series on DVD you may feel it's all the same but there are subtle differences in some stories. I have the DVD as well but I'm a big fan.
Great stuff , loved listening to it just as good s the TVs programmes , enjoyed very much , got all them .
STILL SO FUNNY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS AS ALREADY SAID....
BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT UTTERLY BRILLIANT.
