At the age of 56, Rob A. Gentile had a massive heart attack followed by a profound near-death experience. On his journey to his heart transplant, he was close to death again and entered the Ethereal a second time. He found himself inside a shapeless, formless vacuum of unending and infinite vastness. He saw and simultaneously became part of a gigantic interactive web of twinkling lights covering the Earth and stretching into infinity. While in the Ethereal, he understood that each quark of light symbolized a life. He realized that if he hurt himself, he hurt everything connected to him, but if he loved, the light would spread. Rob also saw his daughter with special needs, perfect, whole, and radiant.

The most important message he received was of unity, oneness, and our real identity.

Enlightening

Absolutely terrific. Working at a heart hospital in the post open heart unit as an critical care nurse RN I could identify a lot with how it really was a miracle he survived. I had patients down for that long and almost all had a bad outcome. His story about his NDE was fascinating and the story about his disabled daughter was amazing. But most of all his spiritual knowledge and how well he was able to communicate his NDE and his encounter with God/light was so informative. Also after all my years working at heart hospital I never knew about how heart was so controlled with our emotions. This man lived for a reason to tell his story. He was very spiritually connected. God bless him.

Very interesting story, but not an NDE

Very interesting story and well narrated. However, it isn't an actual NDE in the sense that a person actually died, left their body, had an experience, and then came back to life either naturally or through assistance. I would categorize this book as an out of body spiritual experience, and a survivor's story. That said, it was very fascinating and inspiring. The part I was most interested in, the parts about light, heart science, and spiritual interconnection, were at the very end of the book and that aspect felt a bit rushed. I know the author is a Christian and felt it necessary to fill the pages with Christian doctrine (I'm a Christian too) but it felt out of place in this book as his experiences were not directly connected to doctrine. So, to be honest, the book felt a little suspect in its intentions. However, the author sounds like a truly lovely person who survived an absolutely crazy experience! The book is worth a listen, and more importantly, the information he stumbled into is exceptionally important as we continue to evolve as spiritual beings on this planet. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Wonderful story

There is suffering in this book but there is so much beauty. It will give you a lot to think about. The author went through a tremendous journey. As the book ends I will miss hearing how the rest of his life goes and how his family is doing. He is passionate and personal. You will feel like you know him and you will miss him when it’s over
