Quick, Clean Cozy

Poisoned in Port Townsend: Pacific Northwest Cozy Culinary Series, Book 2
By: Dennis Shock
Narrated by: Jeff Moon

4 STARS

When Lily’s restaurant is linked to a poisoning death, she and daughter Judy investigate in order to prove they had nothing to do with it. Several suspects emerge as they follow the clues. Judy takes a more active role in this edition.

A quick clean culinary cozy mystery. I’ll keep listening.

The narration was done by Jeff Moon. He gave the characters personality. Quite an enjoyable listen, even if the female voices were still a bit silly.

Bonus recipes included.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Lily and Judy are at it again!

Another great cozy mystery for book 2 in the series. I kept guessing all the way through who the murderer could be. The killer had a lot of people fooled! I read along with the book as I listened to the audio. I received a free audio copy in exchange for an honest review. Looking forward to book 3.

Great who done it

This was a suspenseful mystery that kept me listening and guessing until the end. It had a lot of twists and turns. Just when I thought I had it figured out, I was wrong and guessing again . I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life. I recommend this read.

Another great addition to the series!

This is the second book in the Pacific Northwest Cozy Culinary Series, a murder cozy mystery. I loved to follow Lily and Judy Pine in this new murder investigation, filled with danger, and twists and turns. The plot is well crafted, and intriguing. The characters a great, and interesting. Jeff Moon did an excellent job bringing this story to life. Looking forward to listening to Death on Bainbridge Island, the next book in the series.

Once again Dennis Shock has written a murder mystery that is a great listen! Jeff Hook is very good at doing different voices for each character. All together a really enjoyable book. Bonus recipes at the end!

excellent book!

highly recommend! Set in the picturesque town of Port Townsend, Washington, the story follows Lily and Judy Pine as they scramble to clear their restaurant's name after a local food poisoning incident turns into a murder investigation. The narrative is well-paced, blending suspense with heartwarming moments between the mother-daughter duo. What makes this book stand out is the inclusion of recipes like Chicken Lily and Killer Broccoli Salad, which adds a unique and interactive element to the experience. The plot thickens deliciously as they take matters into their own hands when their friend, Detective Miller, is assaulted. Overall, it's a satisfying read for those who enjoy a good whodunit with a side of home cooking.
