Publisher's summary

Izzy Sage moved to Detroit with a purpose, to figure out exactly what came through the death gate on Belle Isle and killed her parents when she was a child. She still doesn’t have answers on that, but there are a whole lot of new questions plaguing her as the mystery continues to deepen.

Izzy never planned on falling in love, but that’s exactly what happened when she was adopted by the Grimlock family. She didn’t just fall for middle son Braden either, but the rest of the boisterous family as well. Thankfully, she has their support for the war that’s to come. Between revenants, old witches, and an insidious threat inside the reaper council, Izzy has her hands full. Entertainment is the name of the game in the reaper world. It’s also survival of the fittest. Come along for the ride.

Note: This three-book omnibus includes Only the Devout, Only the Strong, and Only the Buried.

REALLY? i mean REALLY?

I love this new series, it even caused me a couple of nights sleep it was so good. I also am SO pleased with the narrator I could do a dance! What a fun and exciting new series. I cannot wait for the next book.

I have only one complaint, one LOUD, ANGRY COMPLAINT. PLEASE LOSE THE filler word "huh" will you? I thought you were doing better, but it started creeping back in in book 5, and by book 6 it was back. WHO is making your word count decisions? You or your teenage editor? "huh"? Irritatingly your use of this word has now found it's way back into MY vocabulary after 50 years! I used it as a teenager myself, but after a good education discovered it was a base way of communication. I mean REALLY!

Love this series

The Grimlocks and the extended family members are all so interesting. And I love the family’s snarky interactions including the baby’s contribution. This series just gets better and funnier as it goes along.

Great narration!

Fun story up until this book. I was able to overlook the man hating until now because there were a few men characters that had strong personalities. I really didn't like the woke concepts pushed in every chapter of the book. The agenda wrecked the series for me, and I didn't finish the book. I won't listen to any more of the series for this reason, which is too bad because the story and narration were really fun.
