Publisher's summary

Logan

From the moment I first saw him, I knew I was screwed.

Bennet Long wasn’t just any handsome Omega with sinfully blue eyes and an body that could make an Alpha like me ache long after I’d watched him go. He was off limits. Completely forbidden. Not because I couldn’t take him. I knew the minute we first touched and I saw the way his cheeks flushed pink that I could have him. Make him mine. No, I couldn’t even let myself think about taking Bennet Long - not because I couldn’t, but because it was wrong.

I was 55. He was barely old enough to buy his own beer. After one failed marriage already and a lifetime of military service, I knew I wasn’t suitable to be around any Omega at all - but the last Omega I needed to be throwing myself at was one as young, damaged, and naive as him.

And then there was the other catch...the one that turned Bennet Long from a no-go zone into the juiciest piece of forbidden fruit I could imagine...

Bennet

I’d always found myself attracted to older Alphas, but after my last relationship came to such a violent, terrifying end, I never thought I’d actually be with one ever again. But ever since that awful, painful night, my body had been hurt in ways that I couldn’t explain. My heat started coming on stronger. More unpredictable. More desperate. Being around any Alpha at all when one hit me was a bad idea of the highest order...

But being around my best friend’s Alpha military hero dad? With Logan’s broad, strong shoulders, thick, muscular arms, and firm, I couldn’t have stopped myself even if I’d wanted to.

Logan was everything that I knew I didn’t need in my life. Authoritative. Commanding. Emotionally absent. But the things he made me feel were too strong to deny. Could I try to anyway?

Not a chance.

Good May/December

This is a sweet May/December with second chance vibes. I liked this story though I don;t think the whole best friend's father issue was really addressed in any way and that kind of disappointed me a bit. Narration was done well other than one character who came off sounding a little Pirate-ish, which honestly was more amusing than anything else. Overall it was a pleasant listen.

Logan is set in his ways...can he change?

Logan has known Bennet as his son's friend and the kid that spent time, along with his brother, at Logan's home. Now Logan sees Bennet in a new light as Bennet goes into heat. Can the two of them find there way afterward? I loved the characters, story line, and narrator.

May December Ronance

This is a great story of a young Omega getting his grind on with his best friends daddy. The Alpha has issues and is very lonely but these men find away to put family first. It has a little angst and you feel the weight of the situation they find themselves in. Overall worth obtaining story.

Old dogs and new tricks

I started this thinking I'm going to listen for an hour and go to bed. Nope! This was so good I got pulled into the vortex and didn't want to resurface. The first half made me chuckle so much and loaded with cuteness. Then, the serious errors started. I wanted to brain Logan with something! Grrr. He was oblivious so long it saddened me. You can teach an old dog new tricks, it just takes longer and more patience. Logan finally got his priorities realigned for his new life. Logan had a good heart, but old habits kept pulling him in the wrong direction. Glad he woke up in time to share the precious gift of love. The narrator was great. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this story and am giving an honest review.

Second chances and a wounded hero...

This is an age gap story, which aren't always my cup of tea, but, by now, I trust that Aiden Bates can deliver a story, and I wasn't disappointed.

This is such an interesting story, with characters who are flawed, deeply human, and very easy to understand, as we know from where they are coming. I like that, and the fact that, even when the age-gap is really wide, it doesn't seem like it: Bennet, the younger, usually is the more mature between them due to his traumatic childhood; Logan, OTOH, acts with some immaturity, particularly in regards of relationships.

But their chemistry is obvious, and the story drew me in. I really enjoyed it.

Bill Burrows did a great job with the narration.

Good story

I liked that these characters were able to work through the issues they had and come together to make a family. Narration was well done and easy to follow

Love this series

I really enjoyed this story. Age gap stories are one of my favorite. It was nice to see Bennet open up to Logan and go after what he wanted, even if it was his best friend's father. And it was nice to see Logan soften from his military work and become someone Bennet could ultimately count on to take care of him. I liked the end when Teddy got to meet his new brother, not nephew.
This is a wonderful series and I can't wait for book 3.
Narrator Bill Burrows does an absolutely amazing job. I love how he brings the characters to life.

fantastic

Omega's Secret Alpha is the second book in the Under Siege series by Aiden Bates. This m/m romance involves an age gap, a best friend's father theme, military men, and an unexpected mpreg. There is some drama, a little humor, and lots of sexy-sweet romance. Logan and Bennet are great characters and I absolutely love their story.

The book is narrated by Bill Burrows. The voicework is fantastic - the characters are given individual voices that bring out the personalities and the story comes to life. The recording is clean and smooth. Very enjoyable.
