Publisher's summary

Over 4,000 students gathered at the University of Michigan to hear Republican Party candidate Ron Paul speak. As he began to address the topics of monetary policy and the coming depression, a chant rose from the crowd, "End the Fed! End the Fed!" As dollar bills were lit on fire and thrown into the night skies, it became clear that the real problem, one that nobody in the media was talking about, was the central bank - an unconstitutional entity and a political, economic, and moral disaster.

Most people don't give a second thought to the Federal Reserve, but they should. In End the Fed, Ron Paul argues that the Fed is both corrupt and dangerously autonomous, inflating currency today at nearly a Weimar or Zimbabwe level. What most people don't realize is that the Fed is actually working against their own personal interests. Ron Paul's urgent appeal tells us how we went wrong and what we need to do fix America's economic structure for future generations.

The elusive obvious

Ron Paul brings up this essential issue in the US policy and world economy. This book should be a must read for every american in school.
The Fed is obviously a tyrannical organization that has destroyed the american economy, but not everyone understands it. End The Fed is narrated in an easy to comprehend language with common sense and easy to understand facts.

For any Libertarian, this is required reading.

If you could sum up End the Fed in three words, what would they be?

Deregulate the banks.

What was one of the most memorable moments of End the Fed?

I enjoyed Ron Paul's always appreciative and young crowds. This is where the "End the Fed" phrase was coined.

What does Bob Craig bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He nails down Paul very well and does not leave you wanting. Clear, concise and excellent voice tone.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes. Liberty. Got Liberty?

Any additional comments?

I wish Ron Paul was 20 years younger so he could be President. The man is a true Libertarian and American "Originalism" Constitution lover.

Very good

Very good, but first you must read or listen to The Creature From Jekyll Island. This book is a classic. And that book is better at explaining money and the disaster the Fed has created.

Simple, Concise and Informative

Congressman Paul makes a compelling argument for abolishing the "Federal" Reserve, not by ranting and raving about conspiracies but by giving the listener a sincere thought, showing how the Federal Reserve has been directly responsible for the booms and busts that America has experienced since its adoption in 1913.

All Ron Paul supporters will enjoy this book of course, however I would recommend anyone with economic leanings (which should be everyone) to give this book serious consideration.

It is good ideas that make this nation great. We have been living really bad ones for a very long time.

Audacious

This is an audacious remedy but albeit, highly unlikely when we are hopelessly corrupt. We can only hope.

Very clear and understandable

Representative Paul has done a great service to our country in explaining a very complex and universally misunderstood topic in a clear and understandable way. We as a nation and people are in a very precarious position. We must take back our country and the only way to do this is for an enlightened citizenry to elect representatives who will govern for the good of all citizens and not the privileged few. I believe this is the answer but I do not think it will happen. The only question in my mind is how soon the economic collapse and ensuing chaos will happen. What kind of nation will emerge? Men like Ron Paul are sounding the warning but not enough people are listening, certainly not our Federal representatives. Oh well, thanks for being a true patriot Ron.

Informative

The book does a lot to inform what goes on with the fed and congress. The narrator was good but keep the same tone throughout, so the book felt the same througout. I had to review some chapters twice as Ron Paul puts a lot of government detail in the book. We maybe so deep in with the Fed in the US that it may be too difficult to pull out. Our freedom is at stake.
