Well Reasoned, Supported, and Communicated

I'm a long time listener of Becks, and a 2+ year subscriber to The Blaze (I started back when it was GBTV), so I'm no unbiased reviewer. And yet, I've a hard time thinking of how you could subvert Beck's arguments in this small book. It's approached in a question answer format, offering common objections to guns from liberals and republicans alike, and then tearing those arguments apart piece by piece to show how they're either unfounded, impracticable, or simply flat out unconstitutional. Beck then spends some time at the end of the book looking at what HAS actually changed in the past 30 years that has contributed to the rise in children shooting children, and gives families some action steps to help regain the hearts of their children.
I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone, liberal or libertarian. It's concise, thorough, and well supported positions and arguments will be valuable to anyone who reads it.

The narrator does an amazing job of communicating the gravity of the subject matter, without sounding at all grave or sedentary. His voice and candor actually reminds me a lot of Beck's, which fit the tone of the book perfectly.

It highlights the DANGER of the idea that "Government is the Answer".

This book shows the damage done by the Marxist policies by our government and the irresponsible behavior of the entertainment industry.

Please educators of our young.....read this book with an open mind and recognize how political your administrators are and how their ideas have been shaped for decades. Ultra-liberal views in education is not the answer.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! The information contained in this book is essential for anyone who wants to sit down and have an actual discussion about gun control. I know many people who believe all the talking heads they hear on TV (whom rarely use information based on facts) and those friends would benefit greatly from a dose of truth.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Well being as this isn't a novel but more of an oral presentation on guns and the Second amendment..... there really aren't any "characters" but if I had to choose I would say Glen of course, for giving us this inexpensive and informative book.

As stated before, this isn't a novel this is an informative oral presentation about guns and the second amendment.

It's the amendment that protects all OTHER amendments and the Constitution!

The book is very well written and researched. No excuses are made for the gun violence that actually DOES occur in this country, but our REAL statistics are measured against other nations REAL statistics which really helps the reader understand a truer perspective on our "gun problem" or lack thereof. The Author addresses many of the excuses and arguments used by people in favor of stricter gun laws/control and very evenly and factually debunks their sandy foundation arguments one by one. He exposes the talking heads and ignorant citizens for what they are. After all the facts and arguments are laid to rest he then attempts to explore the reasons behind the violence (guns or not) in our society. I am quite impressed with the level-headed approach the author takes when dismantling the issues surrounding gun control in this country (and others).

Facts are presented in this book that debunk the arguments gun control proponents love to use! Great book if you want the facts to put gun control supporters in their place...

Good book about guns, violence and tyranny

This book take many of the gun control "statements/arguments" and examines them for truth. It also looks at the "culture of violence" and gives many studies that show people's belief/psychology and actions have effects on violent episodes, like school killings. Only negative is it gets a bit stats heavy in a few places but it is necessary to discuss this topic properly.
