Even the smartest among us can feel inept as we fail to figure out which light switch or oven burner to turn on, or whether to push, pull, or slide a door. The fault, argues this ingenious - even liberating - audiobook, lies not in ourselves, but in product design that ignores the needs of users and the principles of cognitive psychology. The Design of Everyday Things shows that good, usable design is possible. The rules are simple: make things visible, exploit natural relationships that couple function and control, and make intelligent use of constraints.

Story
Before the advent off the wireless technology era, the existing communication technologies were primarily powered by wired technology. From the telephone to the fax machine, communication was not possible without a physical connection between the communication device and the source of the power of the device. For instance, there had to be a connection between a wired telephone and the dial board for communication to be possible. Just as with every other wired device, wireless communication has successfully displaced wired communication.

If you look at it superficially, in respect to machines, it is safe to say that any change in the structure of the machine, the data stored in the memory or its data composition, in order to improve the efficiency and the effectiveness of the machine’s performance is an undeniable sign of learning in a machine. When you start to delve deeper into this subject, only a couple of these changes can be categorized as machine learning.

Story
There is no bigger public health story now than the collapse in youth mental health. The numbers are terrifying and dominate our headlines. There has been much debate over how we got here, and what to do next, and bestselling author and social psychologist Jonathan Haidt is at the white-hot center of that discourse. Haidt has spent his career speaking wisdom and truth into the most difficult landscapes—communities polarized by politics and religion, campuses battling culture wars, and now the perfect storm contributing to a public health emergency for Gen Z.

Story
Justin has a curse, and thanks to a Reddit thread, it's now all over the internet. Every woman he dates goes on to find their soul mate the second they break up. When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan: They'll date each other and break up. Their curses will cancel each other’s out, and they’ll both go on to find the love of their lives. It’s a bonkers idea… and it just might work.

It's okay
It's not terrible. I like seeing more amateur radio audiobooks, but I didn't find it much more useful than someone reading the questions. I want to understand, and this book didn't provide context for why much of the content was correct.
