Publisher's summary

A young man seeks redemption from his past in the third novel from the No More trilogy by Amazon Charts and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Kerry Lonsdale.

After serving six months in a juvenile detention center, Lucas Carson returns home irrevocably changed by what happened there. Traumatized, Lucas shuts himself out from everyone he loves, even his younger sister, Lily, who ran away from home when she was pregnant at sixteen. When Lily resurfaces years later, Lucas can’t cope with his guilt about not being there for her. He takes off, only to cross paths with Shiloh Bloom—fifteen, homeless, and, like Lucas, escaping the past.

All Lucas sees in her is the little sister he neglected. Believing this is his chance to absolve past mistakes, he takes Shiloh in. He gives her food and shelter. She gives him a purpose. Together they invent a background for her and form a bond. But the risk of discovery grows. Lucas’s sisters aren’t the only ones looking for him. So are Shiloh’s mother and the police. If Lucas wants to heal and have a future, he must stop running and face everything he’s left behind.

Had high hopes for this book

I really tried to like this book, as the first two were very good. Before the end of this one, I didn’t even care about the characters any more. In my opinion, Shiloh was well written, Lucas was not.

Nice story

Decent wrap up to the series. Not as good as the others but still enjoyed it.

Wraps up nicely...

What a great conclusion to this trilogy. It was interesting to see how the past had affect Lucas. The heavy burdens he carried all because his parents selfishly didn't seek to get help for him. It was great to see that by slowly sharing those things he know he wanted to heal this part of his past in order to have a future.

After all these years Lucas Carson still lives with the guilt of not helping his baby sister the night she ran away from home. He was too scared to help and still hadn't dealt with the events that traumatized him. When Lily resurfaces Lucas takes off unable to face her.

When Lucas crosses paths with homeless teenager Shilol Bloom, all he sees is a chance to absolve his past mistakes. She reminds him of Lily and he's determined to keep her safe. They invent a cover story for her sudden appearance and begin to lean on each other.

But the arrival of a bounty hunter causes then both to panic, Lucas is sure that the law has finally caught up with him and Shilol is sure her mom's shady boyfriend hired this person to track her down.
