Shep and Cece have been in the making since book 1
Shep and Cece have been around since book one of this series. The tension between the two was clear. The chemistry right their for all to see. Them getting together was just a matter of time (later that night). Having the backstories of their lives come to the light was interesting. The fight that Cece had on her hand to hold on to all she hold dear was a turn I was not expecting. Shep being the hero ,that was clueless, was expected. The two came together because of chemistry. The two married for a fortune. They stand beside each other for more.
I have to admit that I was expecting a bit more of Shep's dad and the drama. I wanted to see a bit more of Cece's family also. The story was still a standalone just as it was.
Stephanie and Matt brought the characters to life with clarity for each character. The French Quarter Collection was just that a collection of romance from the quarter that gave just as good as it got.
