Great book!
As a long time fan of the Runaways, this was a must “listen” for me. Such an eye opening account of the band, it’s members, heart ache, heart break and triumph over it all.

A heartfelt and inspiring story that was moving
It’s hard to put into words just how moving and inspirational this story is. The delivery was truly from the heart, coming from a person who lived it. How Cherie overcame those hardships and challenges is awesome and inspirational. I’m a musician and really feel a whole new appreciation for being an artist, and realizing the power of humility, courage and feeling inspired to help others.

I wish the book could’ve lasted another 12 more hours!
I enjoyed everything about this book. Cherie’s narrative to her own story was soul touching this is the way audiobooks should be done. I was so emotionally wrapped up in the book it was listening to a best friend tell stories and I’d even occasionally talk back to her lol! Cherie if you ever read these reviews please put out another book! Listeners don’t hesitate on getting this book, you won’t be disappointed. needed a professional reader but great read of bands of the early 70s.she had rough time with young girls no money bickering all the time.drugs at time was tuinal and quaadludes

Outstanding listen.
This book is not one that I would normally read but a friend of mine is friends with the author so I gave it a shot and I have to say it was absolutely riveting. Thank you so much for sharing your life experience with us. You are an inspiration and a inspiration and a great human being.

I was so excited for this book, BUT....
I had bought a copy of this book years ago, with the intent to read it. Unfortunately, my attention span does not allow me to sit and actually read a book... so, when I found this on audible, I couldn’t wait to listen!
I made it two chapters in (maybe?), until I had to stop listening .... her narrative is exhausting to me.... I get that she’s playing out her past memories, but the whininess and the “bad” acting just overwhelmed my irritability-meter... I was so excited for this book!!!, but, I will try it again in a few days... fingers crossed.

What an gut wrenching, yet inspirational book! I couldn't stop listening to this real life story...i am so glad you made it through all those tough times and wrote it for us! I definitely recommend this book!
