The Wulfriths. It all began with a woman...

A battle. A crown. The conqueror. The conquered. Medieval England - forever changed by the Battle of Hastings. And the rise of the formidable Wulfriths.

A nameless Norman...

Born of scandal, Sir Dougray of the family D’Argent defies his illegitimacy by championing the oppressed, until the prospect of winning the hand of a lady persuades him to join the Duke of Normandy in conquering Saxon-ruled England.

When an injury sustained at the Battle of Hastings causes the woman he loves to reject him, an embittered Dougray turns his efforts to uprooting Saxons resistant to their new king. But, among those he must bring to heel is Em, an escaped slave-turned-rebel, whose suffering at the hands of a fellow Norman tempts him to reclaim the man he was before he betrayed his conscience.

Em captivates him though he vowed never again to fall prey to a woman. Might yet another D’Argent warrior take a Saxon bride? Or, will the one who made a possession of Em destroy what remains of her?

A fugitive Saxon...

Forced into slavery to ensure her siblings’ survival following the Norman invasion, Em escapes her abusive master and joins the Saxon resistance. Now trained in the ways of the warrior, she is determined to never again suffer the depravity of men. And will not, providing she can stay ahead of the one intent on recovering his property and the usurping King William’s warrior scout, Sir Dougray, who also seeks to capture her.

But when he appoints himself as Em’s savior, thwarting an attempt to once more enslave her, she glimpses an honorable man beyond the conqueror and begins to feel that which is forbidden - worse, forbidden to one as ruined as she. Or so she believes, until his kiss more thrills than frightens and threatens to break a heart she would not have believed capable of being touched by a Norman.

From the Saxon victory at York portending the fateful Harrying of the North to the walls of Wulfen Castle, Sir Dougray and Em’s tale unfolds in the third book in the Age of Conquest series, revealing the origins of the Wulfriths of the best-selling Age of Faith series.

Nameless

A very touching medieval romance. Great characters with wonderful depth and personality. Mary Sarah Agliotta performs a magnificent narration bringing the characters to life!

This is book 3 in an exciting series by Tamara Leigh! Can be read as a stand a lone book, but is better when read in proper sequence so you can meet and get to know all of the characters connected to this family of warriors.
I’d recommend to anyone who loves medieval romance. The “sex/chemistry” is well done in taste and kept at a sweet level. 😍

Dream Team!

Anything by Tamar Leigh is at the top of my list of best books to read ever. Driving an hour to work means I can indulge in the creative voice of Mary Sarah Agliotta as I travel back in time to faraway lands and battles of the physical, emotional and spiritual. I may have a slightly different accent when I get to work... 'hmm, listening to those books again, huh?' Then the hand comes up and I'm forbidden from giving spoilers. Oh well. If you haven't listened, you can't believe what you're missing. I almost wish there was a genogram for the family somewhere though. Maybe I'll make one...until the next series comes out.

Loss leading to Great Gain! Powerful

One of my favorite stories in the Age of Conquest series by Tamara Leigh. Chevalier Dugray comes full circle as a physical loss sets him on the path of truly being found.
Once again, Mary Sarah Agliotta dos a fabulous job on narration….easily conveying myriad emotions throughout!

Good

First off, I love Tamara Leigh, I've read or listened to many of her titles. However, I did get a little lost trying to follow the story here. I couldn't always understand the narrator. As the accents became too strong at moments
and it left me a bit confused at times. But I did enjoy the lead characters and their love story. I highly Recommend her Age of Faith Series and the Feud Series , as well as Stealing Adda and Dreamspell. All of which I've thoroughly enjoyed. I still have more to read and I look forward to it!

Wonderful Story!

I’m so thankful these books have an audio version. It’s such a better experience, especially since some of the names are French. I love how Tamara can weave a story together! Also, the narration is really good!
