When a dead body turns up in the hot tub at a high-end resort on the rugged Oregon Coast, forensic investigator Lacey Campbell and her fiancé, Jack Harper, realize their vacation is over.
Tragically, the dead woman is dressed in a wedding gown, even more disturbing for Lacey since she's about to become a bride. When the victim turns out to be a popular bartender with a bad-news ex-husband, it looks like a domestic quarrel turned deadly. But could there be something more sinister going on in this tight-knit community? Swept into the investigation, Lacey uncovers a killer with a morbid perspective on marriage.
From master of romantic suspense Kendra Elliot comes a fast-paced tale of obsession and murder.

I love espionage, legal, and detective thrillers but listen to most genres. Very frequent reviews. No plot spoilers! Please excuse my typos!
This is another novella. It is part of Kendra Elliot's Bone Secrets series. In this murder mystery a woman is found dead at a resort in a hot tub. Her ex-husband is then found dead in a hunting cabin in what appears to be a murder-suicide. Only he died first. This book is far from Kendra Elliot's best work.
It's my fault. I thought I was getting a good deal when I had to pay around $3 for this book, but I didn't realize it was only 2 hours long. Even though it was a good story I'm confused as to how this is actually a part of the series with the length that it is. Don't get me wrong, the story itself absolutely fits into the series but we're going from 10 hours a story to two hours for this story. How does that make sense? It feels like the author was on a deadline and had to hurry up and put something out. It could have been so much more. Even though this book was a disappointment because of the length itself, I'm still going to purchase the next book in the series.
If you have read any of this series, it is a nice short visit with the beginning characters. If not, it is a great way to introduce the type of book the series is in a short read.
Again visiting old friends.
Over all good job.
I did enjoy this. Sometimes it is good to have something short to fill in between longer reads. This fits the bill, knowing the author and talent made this a good choice.
Story was ok but total waste of money with it being less than 2 hours. Should have listed that it was a short story
