Story
From the Stone Age to the Greek Tragedies, from Shakespeare to Robin Hood, we have always had our heroes. The hero is at the centre of formative myths in every culture and persists to this day in world-conquering books, films and TV shows. But why do these characters continue to inspire us, and why are they so central to storytelling? Scalpel-sharp on the roots of storytelling and enlightening on the history and science of myth, The Hero is essential listening for anyone trying to write or understand fiction.

On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

For most of the last hundred years, Biloxi was known for its beaches, resorts, and seafood industry. But it had a darker side. It was also notorious for corruption and vice, everything from gambling, prostitution, bootleg liquor, and drugs to contract killings. The vice was controlled by small cabal of mobsters, many of them rumored to be members of the Dixie Mafia. What the heck Audible? I have downloaded 100s of books and been a member for years. Not one time have I ever selected a book in GERMAN, so why the heck was this one at the top of my recommendations? I have every Lee Child book and love them that is true but they are in ENGLISH! I want my credits back!

In Fricking German
I can’t believe that there is no easy way to see witch language that a book is narrated in. If there is I would greatly appreciate knowing. Wasted credit

Unable to listen... due to it being read in german... audible or mr. child should have made it clear of the language and unable to receive a translation
