Publisher's summary

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is back, packing a whole lot of attitude. This time around, she's on the trail of Kenny Mancuso, a boy from the working-class burg of Trenton, New Jersey, who has just shot his best friend. Fresh out of the Army and suspiciously wealthy, Mancuso's also distantly related to Joe Morelli, a vice cop with questionable ethics, a libido in permanent overdrive, and a habit of horning in on Stephanie's investigations.

The feeling of discovering that your favorite new listen is actually the start of a series is euphoric. That you can immediately hit play and re-enter a beloved new world, or love story, or era from history is a gift to the devoted listener. But how to pick just 100 of these unique and immersive listening journeys? We defined a series as having a minimum of three books, and—after some debate—we decided the titles had to be anchored in fiction. From YA to horror to historical fiction, from fresh voices to seminal tales, hours of discovery await.

Just as great as the first novel and reading. . .

I love this series and the person telling the story. You get so caught up in the story; time just flies by. It's so easy to visualize what's going on.

Great, great, great production and story.

Great

Janet’s books are great until you reach the double digits. Then they tempt you with the thought that they will be as good as the beginning ones but they just don’t
C j critt is the best narrator for this series. My daughter and I were definitely disappointed when the narrator was changed to Lorelei king. C.j. Critt is just better at bringing these characters to life

Stephanie Plum at her best!

She never disappoints. This has all of the usual characters and lots of good humor.

the real protagonist of this book

the Buick. what else can I say. 😂 of course the interactions between Grandma Maser, Morelli and Stephanie had my sides in stitches.

Excellent

An excellent follow up to the delightful first in the series. Its so hard to decide which support characters should be a favorite. Grandma Mazur takes the win in this book.

Fun story

The way narrator read this it felt like every sentence was its own paragraph and all characters sounded snooty and disdainful. The story itself was fun and surprisingly feminist. Unabridged version is definitely the way to go: Stephanie makes a lot more sense like that. I just wish it had a different narrator :(

Funny, terrifying, wonderful read!

Engaging from the first sentence to the last! I adore Stephanie and her quirky family. Morelli reminds me of my first love. Even love the hamster!! So glad Lula was brought back for the second book!
