Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is back. The brassy babe in the powder blue Buick has been given the unpopular task of finding Mo Bedemier, Trenton's most beloved citizen, arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, gone no-show for his court appearance. Once again, the entire One for the Money crew is in action, searching for Mo, tripping down a trail littered with dead drug dealers, leading Stephanie to suspect Mo may be in over his head.

Awesome series

I love this series! It’s so realistic. The narrator seems way too old for the characters, and I am sure the narrator goofed up who was talking several times during this book

Fun little listen, but great literature

These stories are are more about the fun of the characters than they are they are about the depth or intrigue of the plots, so they're fun reads. Much heavier on the comedy than the suspense.

I thought the narrator did a decent job (though I was a bit squeamish about her black characters), but she's sounded too mature and too nice for the main character, not jersey rough enough. When I read the first two books, I kept picturing Annie Murphy's character from the Kevin Can F**k Himself series and Bobby Cannavale from movies like The Station Agent. I'll stick to reading the books.

FUN READ, BUT…

I love Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series. I’ve read them ALL in hardback format.

I have to be honest and say this book is not my favorite in the series. It goes on for about two hours too long, there are a few too many characters to keep track of, and there is SO MUCH swearing! I was a military brat and have four brothers. I know ALL the good swear words. The swearing doesn’t offend me; it just seemed to me that there was so much swearing it detracted from the story rather than added to it (which is why I only gave four stars overall.

The fact that I didn’t especially care for Book 3 will not keep me from moving directly to Book 4. If I recall correctly from reading the whole series, Book 4 was so funny it had me laughing out loud.

The narrator for the first three books has been fantastic — she sounds exactly as I imagine Stephanie would sound if she were a real person.😊. Lula should sound a little more “ghetto.” Compared to the book, the Lula was too tame.

Despite these few complaints, I’m excited to begin Book Four!

Great story! I couldn't wait to get back to it. It was funny, creative, and sit on the edge of my seat tense. Enjoyable.

This book was great as all in series are but the narrator wasn't good and I can see why she only reads a few of them

Some characters were ridiculous

Seriously? Don't you think that Lula was over the top? She was unbelievable. Would she seriously be out working with a bounty hunter? No one would be safe
