So much fun!

What a delightful adventure to share with the fun characters. Enjoyed the "unexpected" charm and perspective of the brave Mrs Pollifax. A refreshing tale and I will be looking for more of her adventures in the series.

Cold War story to pass the time

It's not world lit material, but it is entertaining. Never read any other Pollifax books. I like her character. Plot was a little thin.

Quite fun to read a a woman of a certain age, who now knows the political actions of that time. Mrs. P has always been my hero -- look out CIA, I may follow her foot steps.

Mrs Pollifax is a delightful, funny, learned, surprisingly tough, and innocent character, loved it from the very start. Makes you think, what would it be like if I did that.

What does Barbara Rosenblat bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Barbra Rosenblat is an incredible reader, one of the best there is. If you go through each Mrs Polifax book in order, you will find characters appearing from earlier books, with the same voices and character. You will feel you know them. You're in on the adventure with her!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book made me laugh, clap my hands yelling, "I love it!" over and over.

A heck of a lot of fun!

Some things are timeless

I loved it there was no struggle to finish it I read long ago. the narrator was beyond excellent and they can't wait to get the next one and start on it sometimes going back to old things are wonderful especially when you have a great narrator it was fun to read and even more fun to listen to thanks audible

I love spy novels. Reluctantly listened to this book and by the second chapter I was looking to see if there were more. great character, great situations. actually a movie of this book I cannot wait to see. also a made for TV movie. wonderful narration.

Charming

While the story and its characters may fall into somewhat predictable directions, it is charming and enjoyable. Lovely to have a story about an older woman and to see the world through her eyes and feel the pain and humiliation of being thought irrelevant and unimportant in the whole of the workings of the world and then to prove the world wrong.

I don't remember adding this to my library. I was looking for something for a short trip and started listening. I loved every minute. Fun and funny. Narrator is outstanding. When it was over I was sad, but quickly revived after learning there are more! I can't wait to continue with Mrs. Pollifax's adventures.
