Publisher's summary

The world is on the brink of disaster. Iran has just conducted its first atomic weapons test. Millions of Muslims around the world are convinced their messiah — known as the Twelfth Imam — has arrived on earth. Israeli leaders fear Tehran, under the Twelfth Imam’s spell, will soon launch a nuclear attack that could bring about a second Holocaust and the annihilation of Israel. The White House fears Jerusalem will strike first, launching a massive preemptive attack against Iran’s nuclear facilities that could cause the entire Middle East to go up in flames, oil prices to skyrocket, and the global economy to collapse. With the stakes high and few viable options left, the president of the United States orders CIA operative David Shirazi and his team to track down and sabotage Iran’s nuclear warheads before Iran or Israel can launch a devastating first strike. But will they be too late?

prophetic with regard to pres. Obama's admin.

also, those enemies of Israel's prayers would return on the solicitor 10 fold, the blessings, on those who bless Israel, the curses the same.
Jesus loves the whole of humanity, eternally for all, bless the forgiven, curse the wicked eternally.

It gets very religious

At some point, the narrative goes from interesting spy novel to born-again Christian & constant biblical references.

Another fantastic book that kept me on edge so much

Now mr Rosenberg has to write a sequel to this book real soon. Too much left unanswered. The narrator is excellent and easily slides from one accent to another but I expect nothing less from anyone who narrates mr rosenbergs books. I have learned so much about what technology can do and about nuclear warfare and drones and all different defense weapons. Had to google a lot of things different places in the book. And some history of Israel and Iran. Pay close attention to chapter 51 when the prime minister of Israel gives his speech about about why they are preemptively attacking Iran. So true. Love love this author. Never fails in my book. I appreciate the absence of profanity and sex. It’s sure not necessary if you are a great novelist also appreciate how mr Rosenberg works the way to eternal life into his characters. The gospels never grows old

Difficult to put this down or pause!!!

The combination of historical events & fiction in this novel is compelling!! Joel Rosenberg does a remarkable job of pulling the reader in and keeping them on the edge of their seats! This is true Kingdom work and I'm excited to read / listen to the third book in this series. Thanks!

Another Amazing and Compelling Drama

Joel has a way of putting the right thread together in such a special way. Praise God also for his clear presentation of the Gospel of our Lord and his sanctified imagination to present a possible way the enemy might come against us. Thank you.

Another thriller by Rosenberg

Wow! Finished in November 2023 and a little frightening how much this novel sounds like current events in middle east. With Israel at war. Great book- once again!

Don't waste your time

This book wasn???t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

An utterly ridiculous story filled with religious gobbledegook. Beware- this is not a political thriller but a feeble attempt to proselytize.

Would you ever listen to anything by Joel C. Rosenberg again?

Not a chance

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Christopher Lane?

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Tehran Initiative?

Didn't get that far

No

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Tehran Initiative?

Amazon categorizes this as Christian literature

Would you try another book from Joel C. Rosenberg and/or Christopher Lane?

I was looking for interesting mystery or spy stories in the Clancy genre,

I'm not interested in reading religious, end of days, evangelical literature which proselytizes a specific set of beliefs. This book is completely laced with such.

Any additional comments?

Rosenberg's "Tehran Initiative" is evangelical Christian proselytizing pure and simple, and should be categorized as such. Amazon, in fact, does.
