Publisher's summary

The world is on the brink of disaster. Iran has just conducted its first atomic weapons test. Millions of Muslims around the world are convinced their messiah — known as the Twelfth Imam — has arrived on earth. Israeli leaders fear Tehran, under the Twelfth Imam’s spell, will soon launch a nuclear attack that could bring about a second Holocaust and the annihilation of Israel. The White House fears Jerusalem will strike first, launching a massive preemptive attack against Iran’s nuclear facilities that could cause the entire Middle East to go up in flames, oil prices to skyrocket, and the global economy to collapse. With the stakes high and few viable options left, the president of the United States orders CIA operative David Shirazi and his team to track down and sabotage Iran’s nuclear warheads before Iran or Israel can launch a devastating first strike. But will they be too late?

Why is this not classified as a religious text????

The 3 stars is being generous......

I am incredibly disappointed by the "preachy" nature of this book. It would have been nice to know in advance it would be on par with most materials handed out by the "door knockers" when it comes to the level of proselytizing. All this gab has little to do with the story and more to do with the selling of a point!

As a person of faith I am not against the message, but I do think this book has been misrepresented by the author at the very least. It was my understanding this was a spy/military/thriller, not a biblical text.

I am just over 3 hours into this story and I find it at best slow, and I may not actually finish it if it continues at the same droning pace. Being completely candid - I consider it far from a "must listen" or a "can't put down" book. All in all it is below average and I doubt I will purchase another by this author. I would advise more action and less fill, not to mention preaching, in future publications.

Superb espionage thriller!

Warning: Those who object to listening to audiobooks written by overtly Christian authors should stay away from Joel C Rosenburg. This is Book 2 in the Twelfth Imam series. It is an excellent espionage thriller. While I have a high tolerance for religious dogma in fiction, The Tehran Initiative pushes my limit.

Eerily consistent with current events

Would you listen to The Tehran Initiative again? Why?

Though I usually do not, I may listen to this one again. It is that good!

POLITICAL DRAMA THAT SADLY COMPARES TO US POLICIES

What did you love best about The Tehran Initiative?

The parallel between what is our countries recent approach to the conflicts in the Middle East and the administrations undercutting Isreal as an Allie.

What did you like best about this story?

The action and drama

What about Christopher Lane’s performance did you like?

Great use of dialects and phrasing with each character.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There are two that hit close to home. The first was the Presidents actions during the build up of hostilities and then the Intel agencies burocracy.

Interesting read considering the current events!!

Would you listen to The Tehran Initiative again? Why?

I might. I don't re-read a lot of books, so it's nothing personal. ;)

What did you like best about this story?

Exciting. Very similar to current events. Makes you think.

What does Christopher Lane bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He's very good at changing characters. I'm impressed with his ability to sound "Jewish" (can I say that?). And then can he change into a Persian anti-Christ.

Any additional comments?

I've read several of Rosenberg's books (both fiction and non-fiction). I believe he has a handle on current events with the perspective of a prophet.

How boring is the reader?

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Not on audibles

What did you like best about this story?

Havent listened to it yet

Would you be willing to try another one of Christopher Lane’s performances?

Maybe

Do you think The Tehran Initiative needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Maybe

Any additional comments?

I listened to 10 seconds so far, and I hate the narrarator already. Sounds like the Mac Text to Speech program.... I hope I can get through the whole book.

This is a must read if into covert espionage

Good vs Evil. The words of God and Allah are at the center of the story.

An exciting ride

This was a Middle Eastern spy thriller. It was exciting from beginning to end. I can’t wait for the next book.
