So hard to enjoy a good story with such terrible..

narration. So grateful that all the other books, besides this one is Margherite. I cannot tolerate Gigis voices, her constant mispronounciations, and especially her voice for Jenks.

Just push through

I personally feel like this title is one most informative and revealing in the hollows series.
I understand it’s not the same narrator and she pronounces things incorrectly.
Just push through it , she’s not as bad as some of the reviews let on.
I got used to her around an hour into the story.
As I said this is a very revealing book for the main protagonist and shouldn’t be skipped if your planning on reading / listening to all the books.

Great story , Racheal is finally growing up and becoming less annoying.
I just wish the side characters Shes Allied with wouldn’t try and casually murder her every book.
It comes off as strange to me.
But overall a great story to devour.

listen I'm going to listen to it because I never got time to actually crack open the book but whoever this narrator is I am not a fan of her voicing Jinx. But all n all the story is great as per usual

Gigi was rightfully fired from doing another audio

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

(how to get 5 star? They should have kept Marguerite Gavin as the reader!!) Sadly they chose to have another person do the audio recording for this one book in the series, and most likely due to RAGE by listeners she was fired. Gigi did not bother to get pronunciations from the previous books & made over 310 audio gaffes by saying things wrong. Takata, Ley, Piscary were the top offenders in pronunciation errors. Not only this, but there were huge pitch variances between recording takes. In one glaring occasion her voice dropped a noticeable octave from the previous recording point. Another error was her repeating the same 2 sentences in a recording. (this could have been an editing error, but still...)

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes.

What didn’t you like about Gigi Bermingham’s performance?

Everything. From her whiney portrayal of Jenks, the coarse voice of Ivy, and to her repeatedly butchering pronunciations, Gigi was rightfully fired. She should have taken time to research her job.

decent book, bad narrator

I hate giving a narrator a bad review but this was bad. Tons of names mispronounced on an almost comical fashion. Very bad change from the previous books.

narration off

the narrator was not consistent with the pronunciation of characters or certain elements from previous narrations relevant to the story. could have used a little more range in the changing of the character voices as well. otherwise an enjoyable listen!

Why did you ruin this?

The narrator is ignorant, she didn’t bother to check pronunciation or the main story points. Why didn’t you check her work? So sloppy. Disappointing

if you take over narrating for someone else...listen to their work on the seriesnl first!

Literally cannot stand the way this author has decided to read this book. The story is great- the narration poor.
