I hate giving a narrator a bad review but this was bad. Tons of names mispronounced on an almost comical fashion. Very bad change from the previous books.

I loved the story but disliked the narrator. I enjoy listening to these books once a year, but each time I come to this book is hard. I am sure Gigi is a good person, but she needs to do her research when taking on someone else work!
Please re-due the book like you all did in Dead Witch Walking.

The narration was like nails on a chalkboard.
I love this author and love her books. I’ve read most of them and have really enjoyed the audio versions….until this one. Terrible character voices. Mispronunciation of key character names, as they have been performed until this book. If you’ve been listening to the series, prepare yourself! Getting through this one was difficult!
Thankfully, I’ve looked ahead and the remainder of the series seems to go back to Marguerite Gavin narrating. If not….I’d be done. I couldn’t listen to a second round of Gigi.

Why with the narrator change?
It took me half way thru the book to get used to the narrator enough to not have allllll the mispronounced words make me twitch. If you’re going to change narrators mid series on us, at least make sure the pronunciation is right!
But the story is worth powering thru for!
