Great series not so great reader

I absolutely love these books! This particular reader though is terrible! She pronounces words wrong, her voices are hard to tell the difference when she changes characters and she doesn’t show much emotion, would absolutely recommend this series to anybody just not the performer.

If you are following someone else's job...

If you are following someone else's job...
Do your research. Know how to pronounce proper names. Fault lies with both the director and reader.

Where is Maguerite????

Love love love this series listened to them all 4 times now it’s always such a shock when I get to this book because there is a different narrator. GiGi is fine she just isn’t maguerite. Love the book though! I just don’t who is talking in this one. So glad the next books are done by marguerite so don’t despair!

Lee Line ??

The Hollows series is an easy, enjoyable experience. The characters tend to generate excessive, oftentimes illogical angst whenever the plot requires, but otherwise, I find the series to be a fast-paced, action-oriented soap opera filled with all the fantasy creatures your heart could desire.

In terms of the performance, all the previous audiobook narrators of this series pronounced almost every text-specific word differently than this particular narrator, Gigi Bermingham. Maybe it’s just me, but “takaDAH” and “lee line” sound super awkward, possibly even incorrect.

Either way, continuity of pronunciation across the audiobook series certainly might have rendered this specific performance more captivating.

Love the Story

I love the story, do not like how the narrator did the character's voices, nor how she pronounced the names and some of the terms. If I could return this I would. I decided to relisten to this and after third minutes, I could not handle it anymore. I will have to resort to reading it on my kindle,

Narrator was.....interesting

Tink's panties! Narrator, Gigi, really should have listened to the previous books. it seemed like she was too caught up in making things sound more dramatic than they were. her attempt at accents was cringing. and with the random music breaks it seemed like she was trying to make it like a soap opera. I think she was trying to hard at acting instead of reading. I read reviews before purchasing the audio book. I was worried. but after hearing the sample, I decided it would be alright. It was. Great story and I love where it's all heading. Just.... not the narrator.....

odd ball voice.

kinda hard to get through listening. slightly jarring to adjust to a different voice after listening the the previous ones preformed by Marguerite Gavin. but other than that it's still a great story and she does it justice

Book was fantastic however narrator not so great

I was a little disappointed, not in the book itself, but in the narrator. The author did a wonderful job continuing the series and I love her writing.
However it threw me off after listening to the other books in this series with this one as a different narrator. I thought I had purchased the wrong book and still do feel like it doesn't belong since its the only one that has a different narrator. All in all id say she did an "ok" job.. She didn't do as good as the other narrator distinguishing between the different characters, Jenks's pitch was really squeaky, and she pronounced a lot of words wrong
