Publisher's summary

The outstanding new novel from the #1 New York Times - bestselling grand master of adventure.

Husband-and-wife team Sam and Remi Fargo are in Mexico, when they come upon a remarkable discovery - the skeleton of a man clutching an ancient sealed pot, and within the pot, a Mayan book, larger than anyone has ever seen. The book contains astonishing information about the Mayans, about their cities, and about mankind itself. The secrets are so powerful that some people would do anything to possess them - as the Fargos are about to find out.

Before their adventure is done, many men and women will die for that book - and Sam and Remi may just be among them.

my favorite fargo story (of the 7)

loved how the story was built up, one adventure and individual story at a time. all the details add to the adventure. i appreciated the way the story was wound up and that sam and remi were just a part of the end. it was more satisfying that way. this story was my favorite fargo story, out of the seven published. can't wait for september for a new fargo story.

Great read!

This is like The Clive Cussler I read years ago; fast moving hard to put down. A thoroughly enjoyable work.

Cussler does it again! Very Satisfying

Sometimes a novel doesn't match up... this one is that which others fail to match up to. Simple, clean, satisfying. A nice blending between the treasure hunt and fighting. A great page turner of action and intrigue. Much better then the Kingdom and just as good as the Tombs.

Captivating

I had got tone away from Clive Cusslers books since the Numa files. I tried this series and am delighted to find a story line I can follow of his again. Good read.

Another great Cussler audio book

The Fargo's are at it again. Helping out a disaster in Central America, they stubbled on a discovery throws them in the middle of another treasure hunt. The ending reveals a little more about Sam's past which even Remi did not know.
