The outstanding new novel from the #1 New York Times - bestselling grand master of adventure.
Husband-and-wife team Sam and Remi Fargo are in Mexico, when they come upon a remarkable discovery - the skeleton of a man clutching an ancient sealed pot, and within the pot, a Mayan book, larger than anyone has ever seen. The book contains astonishing information about the Mayans, about their cities, and about mankind itself. The secrets are so powerful that some people would do anything to possess them - as the Fargos are about to find out.
Before their adventure is done, many men and women will die for that book - and Sam and Remi may just be among them.

Exciting, reviting, unpredictible.
You never know what going to happen in the next chapter. The adventure changes and keeps you wanting more.
I really like Brick's performance. The way he reads the book makes you feel you are right with him, seeing the story as though you are there.
When Sam got his friends to help the people of the village.
I hope Custer writes another Fargo book soon.
From space, our planet is small. When in the forests, our planet is huge. Books and stories like this make me wonder just what secrets our small planet might still hold.
I love Sam and Remy Fargo and the adventures they have. There is nothing serious or mind provoking about these books, but rather they are pure entertainment. The Fargos always keep us entertained with their travels and their relationship is something we would all like ... fun, fun, fun, along with their standard of living and adventures. Yes, pure entertainment but an enjoyable read.
Me and my husband listened to this book together. It is a wonderful read. Full of action and fun. We are loving the Fargo adventures please keep them coming.
Enjoys espionage, mystery, police procedurals, science, biographies.
This is a much better Fargo book. There's more back story, a better historical launch point and less blather.
I love espionage, legal, and detective thrillers but listen to most genres. Very frequent reviews. No plot spoilers! Please excuse my typos!
I'm not a fan of the Sam and Remi Fargo series, but The Mayan Secrets is a superb action and suspense thriller. The quality from book to book is too variable. There are two more books in the series for me to listen to.
Loved the narration and Scott. has a way with accents that make me laugh. The story was awesome and love Remy & Sam. Clive is wonderful and enjoy. his books so much.
Yes. This in my opinion is one of the better Clive Clusser series. It is like they are back on track and I like the series and all the differt characters.
Mor like the Oregon Files series. Action and cool story.
Worth the money.
One of the best in series.
Yes. Interesting means of adventure and escape along with political influence.
Yes. One of my favorite narrators.
No. Listened on my free time.
Sassy dialogue, humor, and a great reader are important to me.
I used new 1.25x speed. Great as author team intended. I liked this book much better than book #1 as it had better editing and Thomas brought new zest to the adventures.
The villains were spot on. They kept you listening to see what happens next.
When Remy refused the air tank.
Another reviewer said this was the best in the series. I purchased all 7 at once, listened to #1 then jumped to this story.
Take advantage of series sale. Scott Brick is Fargo
"Great easy listening adventure"
Scott Brick's reading was flawless as always. Simple and exciting, throughly enjoyable listening. The best Clive Cussler for a while.
"A great Clive Cussler adventure"
I enjoyed the story edge of the seat gripping narative. Thr narrator waa good. I got to experience the different characters and imagined the various scenes he was describing. It would have been better to have a female narrator for the female characters. Great listen :-)
"Another Fargo Adventure"
I really like these Fargo stories by Clive Cussler and Thomas Perry, and I always look forward to the next one. They're my guilty pleasure. I compare them to watching a film like National Treasure - you just switch off, relax, and enjoy the show. It can be a bit cheesy at times, but I actually like that about these books - the relationship between Sam and Remi. All in all, these are fun adventures and I always look forward to the next one. Keep 'em coming! Oh, and Scott Brick does a good job at narration. I actually seek out Scott’s other work now too.
"Another good read from Cussler"
The storyline is not excessively complicated or containing too many characters, therefore the audio version is easy to follow and enjoy. I have not read the print version but would anticipate it as equally compelling and easy read.
Selma is such a cool, unflappable person, she rarely expresses surprise or excitement and continually predicts what it needed.
I enjoyed the storyline, history and geographical travels, it left a feel good factor
This is a good read, Fast paced with an interesting historical connection. It takes the reader across quite a bit of the globe and reflects the reality of some lesser travelled countries and the problems their citizens face. The partnership of the Fargo's with a specialist is becoming a trend but one which adds credibility to the story, The specialist in this one and some of the other characters they meet along their journey all help to make this worth reading.
